A visual depiction of the myriad worldviews and religious beliefs that shape human behavior. What do you believe? Who is right? How do we know? What are the consequences of your answer?

I believe 'God' is a man made construct. By its very nature 'God' only exists & only ever existed in the human brain. Christians quote the bible as being the word of 'God', when in fact it is the writings of numerous people spanning over several centuries, some indeed written several centuries after the birth of christ. There are actually no written documents written about christ at the time of his apparent time on earth.
If someone asked you to write a short story about an incident that happened say 40 years ago, for which there was no written evidence & no living witnesses, where would you start? You would have to rely on your imagination, which is in fact what christians (& all other religions) do till this day.
'God' & religion are in fact just another theory to try to explain why we all exist. In my opinion it is one of the more elaborate & whackier theories, but just a theory none the less.
Ask yourself one question. If man had never existed & the earth was just inhabited by wild animals, would 'God' exist ?. Do wild animals have a soul ?.

Well, here's my tought, not terribly deep at 1:30am. LOL...

This video was sort of lame... BUT, I did visit the site listed at the end of the video and it's promoting a novel written by two fast friends, one an atheist, the other an evangelical christian. After still being slightly confused by the site and exactly what the premise of the story was, I went out to trusty amazon to read a handful of reviews.

This book (and other by them) have VERY good reviews from believers and non-believers alike, I'm seriously thinking of picking up one of their books. It seems to be exactly the type of topic I really do find fascinating... the diameteric opposite beliefs of two friends, and where their common ground is and what their universal truths might be.

I already believe in a A universal truth, I always have... but I think I'd like to read this book and find out what these two authors think.

I believe we know very little if anything at all, this is what I believe

Personally I believe 'God' was created so we could try to figure out where we came from and why we are here, and 'Heaven' was created so we wouldn't fear death as much. Humans on a whole tend to fear what they don't understand or can't comprehend.

wtf was the point of that video
i feel ripped off and i want that time back
that was pointless
wtf
am i missing something
wtf
that was mind numbing
i feel more stupid than i already was.

Interesting video, however i think there are a number of misquotes for a number of the religions it depicts. Other than that, to me its a just a video to re-enforce the confusion amongst agnostics, and further supports their notion of too much choice. It confuses the person even more....

Obviously no one but myself actually checked out the motive behind the video or did any research on what it's promoting. I'll review the book it's promoting after I've picked it up and read it.

I believe that there are certain things that I will not know until I die, such as the nature of God, the meaning of life and the universe, if God even exists. I can take a stab in the dark, but I'll never know for sure.

I believe

The meaning of life is to improve oneself and help others improve themselves if possible.

What is most interesting is the meticulous amount of research that was done in the writing of this book. Stephen Gibson offers pages of footnotes for readers to further explore his points and this gives each point of view a strong backbone. Did Jesus Christ, the man, truly exist? Or do we just need him to have? At the very least, this book will inspire readers to examine why they believe the things that they do. It condemns none, but rather embraces the positives of various viewpoints and encourages readers to do the same, no matter what your faith.

The soul in man is generated by the same process as the thought in animals are, I suppose.
But the difference in the appearance of the animal and the human are what I am looking at.
Go out into nature and see the beauty of the colors and shades and the animals in their habitat.
With humans, the inside is covered up. They don't have gorgeous plumes or exotic shades of color of skin.
The answer to 'Do animals have a soul' is yes, but there is something else to it .
Humans on the outside are in the inside of the soul of the animals.

Uhh, I think the reason humans aren't 'beautiful' in that way is because A: you see humans every day, and B: there's a taboo against nudity. Humans dont need fur now that we have clothes, the colour of our skin is to protect us from the sun, and we dont need plumes to attract our mates, so of course we dont have any of that.

we exist to define ourselves.
we exist to grow.
