Like the description says: Im looking for stories (or sightings) of ghosts in Connecticut, and I don't mean the well known stuff (Black Dog, Long Lane, CVH) I mean the small local legends, but I'm aiming around Middlesex County (I live in Middletown), so do what you do UM, and I'll check in. Thanks a lot, Malachai
Oh yea! I'm planning to hunt for the ghosts, so don't give me anyplace I shouldnt be, and I already checked out Shadowlands, so dont give me that site either.

Hi there,

Ever hear of Dripps Rd in Middletowm? At the end on the Left is an old house. Stop and talk to the lady lving there..supposedly the house is haunted.... but she is VERY weird... she may call the cops on you though... its a chance, she may intertain your presence if she knows what your interested in....

Also in River Rd down by pratt there is a road that goes off to the right as you go down aircraft...follow that in. it turns to dirt..there are old foundations on the left side... supposedly haunted too...

I'm not really up on my CT counties, so I'm not sure if this is near you, but you could try the Seventh Day Baptist Cemetery in Burlington, CT. There is a legend about a Green Lady ghost who haunts the area. I've heard different versions of the story, but they all boil down to roughly the same thing: there is a young couple living in the area in the early 1800s. He went into town right before a bad storm hit, and decided to stay until the weather cleared. She didn't know where he was, so she went out looking for him and died of exposure. She was found in a green dress, hence the Green Lady.

Also, earlier today we were in Middletown checking out the Connecticut Valley Hospital. It might be a Kirkbride, but I'm not positive without doing some more research. It's a little smaller than most I've seen, and was built in 1894, which is a little late for Kirkbrides. Still a very cool place.
