In the world in wich we live in,technolgy is an everyday part of our lives. There is no need to deny the fact that most of the world depends heavily on such instruments as cell phones, computers, etc. How many times in a day do you see some one talking on thier cell, checking thier e-mail,texting back and forth, and so on.It's almost as though some of them cant live without it.But is this behaivior healthy? When i look back,oh say 20 years ago, people had to function without such devices, and they did so just fine.Nowadays,if someone cant get to check thier e-mail,2,3,4 times a day, they feel denied. They have people who refer to thier Blackberrys as "crackberrys".Im sure some of you see no downside to this,as it gives us the ability to get ahold of whoever, whenever. You are only a click away from whatever you need.No matter what,in time, man always finds a way to exploit the uses of such tech by using it for more than just communications,or entertainment.Take for example Virtual reality.Sounds like fun...being immersed into a world where everything you do,is just for entertainment. But what if,say, there was a way to make the "Virtual reality" into reality?Let me clarify:Instead of strapping some large,VR helmet on yer noggin, what if someone came up with a way to eliminate the whole Helmet...by beaming frequency's right into your mind. And not just that, but also recreating ALL FIVE SENSE'S...Sight,sound,taste,smell,touch...All without any equipment strapped on you.All they would have to do is point said instrument at your head, and your off.Maybe without your knowledge.Would that upset you?It would me,i kinda like being here on this planet...for now, anyway. And having my own thoughts and all.Even if others dont agree with all my thoughts or opinions,at least they are MINE.FOR NOW ANYWAY.Here is what i was reading, and it does make one think..."In order to engage the other sense of taste, the brain must be manipulated directly. This would move virtual reality into the realm of simulated reality like the "head-plugs" used in The Matrix. Although no form of this has been seriously developed at this point, Sony has taken the first step. On April 7, 2005, Sony went public with the information that they had filed for and received a patent for the idea of the non-invasive beaming of different frequencies and patterns of ultrasonic waves directly into the brain to recreate all five senses.[4] There has been research to show that this is possible[citation needed]. Sony has not conducted any tests as of yet and says that it is still only an idea."Source...en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virtual_reality....Take into account that it has been 3 years ago that they had this,by now it has been perfected. These frequencies could be emmited through cell towers,TV,RADIO,EVEN SATILITES.Maybe a little scary.Maybe not.Always good to know whats up though.

A paragraph starts with a main point which is followed by supporting details.
I thought that is what Allegory had done ?

The brain is much more complicated than you think! Three year my gosh!

I do deny that fact. I'm sure that over 5 billion people on this earth do not own a cellphone. A rinky dink cellphone.

Though it might be possible to influence someone's senses by sending waves through their head, it would never be possible to completely trick a normal person into believing that what they are experiencing is real. There are too many minute details about sensory and perception that would never be able to be replicated by artificial means. That's why video games, no matter how realistic, will always look and sound like video games. That's why TV, no matter how many megapixels the camera records in, will never be mistaken for a window into a room with a football game in it.
