Full Version: Strong Intution! Too Strong! personal story

Just joined form recently and wanna share a really weird true experience I had:

One day in october I had accident while I was driving Company Van on the job. The night before my father said to charge my mobile phone and then he stressed it very much to me and my mom (that my phone is not charged and I should charge it). I didn't bother and neither my mom since we were too sleepy. The strange thing is then he charged my mobile phone himself.

The point here is I've left my m.p at home many time before and after the incident and I didn't take it seriously and nothing unexpected happened and my dad NEVER said to charge the phone and never ever stressed about it and never once he charged it himself except for that night.

I wake on the accident's day's morning, and I said to myself "Oo, its all charged and stuff and ready to take so I might as well take it to the job today". And sure enough there was a accident.

It was a very strange and profounding experience when I thought about it afterward the accident. Essentially, I would have been stuck in the highway with no way for calling for help, waving and hoping someone might stop and no way of letting my employer know where I am and whatsoever if I didn't had mphone on the day. I would have been in hopeless situation.

I didn't really beleive in paranormal intution and stuff before this incident, putting the lighter incidents to chance and whatever, but I have no way of putting this such detailed paranaormal experience to chance, mainly because my dad never took any interest in my activities before or after (whether I take phone or not, charge or not etc) and I really have never seen him in such strong terms like charging my phone himself.

Also accident for not a crash, just van breaking down on the 100 km/h highway.

It sounds like coincidence. How many times has some event happened where you needed a cell phone but didn't have it? Would you call that "anti-intuition?"

Yes, I see what you mean and I thought about coincidences but to be honest, I've never had a incident where there were major consequences of not having my mobile. But that accident without phone would have lead to major consequences.

I guess its upto each individual to draw a line between coincidence and paranormal but for me that experience (indirect prophecy or whatever you call it) is too strong to just put it down to conincidence.

Spell check- Use it, live it and be one with it.

I've found myself with an intuition like this many times over. I simply can't say that coincidence is the cause of it all. Too many times have I gone out of my way to get or do something out of the ordinary that ended up being needed later that day. I've even had times when I would forget to do something I'd either been meaning to do, or was told to do, and later that day something happens that, had I done that thing previously, it would have either caused more work, or even physically harmed someone.

I think it happens in some people more than others. I just happen to be one of those that it happens to all the time. Don't know what causes it. But hey, I'm really not complaining.

While it certainly is tempting to dismiss coincidence because of the low chance of something like this happening, think of all the other things that go wrong that could have been saved by coincidence. (These are just examples, I'm not saying any of them have happened to you) Have you ever been in a car accident? What if coincidence could have caused you to be extra cautious when turning the corner that very moment in time to swerve out of the way of that drunk on the wrong side of the road. It didn't, and you hit him. Have you ever electrocuted yourself by mistake? What if your wife had came in moments before to make sure you were being safe when operating on the electrical equipment and you realized you had the possibility of being electrocuted and corrected it. She didn't and you got electrocuted. Have you ever cut yourself with a knife? What if right before you cut yourself while dicing some celery for a salad you realized you were going to fast and might hit your finger. You didn't, and now have a permanent scar on your finger to show off for it. Things happen all the time that could be avoided by coincidence. Very few things actually are avoided, but the things that are are the ones that stick out in our memories.

Maybe your dad heard something from a friend or on TV about someone who didn't have a cell phone and suffered the consequences. Or maybe he just decided that if you have a cell phone, it would be a lot safer to bring it with you on the road. Whatever the reason, it is almost certainly just coincidence, especially if something like this has only happened once.

Gah, you just added to my paranoia of the paranormal... I haven't been in a car accident where I was behind the wheel. I haven't been electrocuted and have always kind of wondered what it felt like... and the only time I've cut myself with a knife... was intentional (don't ask, I did a lot of stupid things growing up).

Funny thing...I can't even see the scar of where I did it... and I cut all 4 fingers...

Quick, before I go totally crazy about premonitions.... give me something else! lol.
