ACKSONVILLE, FL (First Coast News) -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office arrested a doctor accused of exchanging prescriptions for sex.
Police arrested 70-year-old Benjamin Malalang.
He works as an accupuncture specialist and licensed medical doctor at a clinic at the intersection of Banbury and Rogero Road.
Investigators believe for the past year he's been writing prescriptions for Oxycontin to women in exchange for sex.
A confidential informant told police she'd been meeting with Malalang at his house and office to have sex in exchange for the Oxycontin prescriptions.
The source told police she would perform a sex act on Dr. Malalang and then he would write and give her a prescription for the controlled substance.
The source told investigators Dr. Malalang advised her to fill the prescriptions at various pharamacies so he wouldn't get into trouble.
Authorities believe at least four or five women are involved.
An undercover officer had been investigating Malalang for the last year.
"They went in, the doctor wrote a total of three prescriptions with the agreement of having sex with these women," said JSO Chief Mike Hartley.
Authorities say the investigation is far from over.
"If family members know of people that are addicted to Oxycontin or other painkillers and they know the family member goes to Doctor Malalang, or if there's a victim out there that has been trading sex for money for these prescriptions, I've got some names and phone numbers," said Chief Hartley.
See, that wouldn't happen where I live, he would have been caught since no matter which pharmacy you go to, your whole perscription history is on the file when they put your care card number in. And what a sick old man. EEEEWWWWW........
