Southgate, Michigan - A Michigan restaurant owner believes he has built the world's biggest hamburger, appropriately named the Absolutely Ridiculous Burger and weighing in at a whopping 60.8kg (134 pounds).

workers at Mallie's Sports Bar and Grill spent 12 hours piling mountains of beef, bacon and cheese into a 22kg burger bun. Flipping the burger required three men using two steel sheets.

While the creation has not yet been authenticated by Guinness World Records, bar owner Steve Mallie is confident it will enter the books as the "largest hamburger commercially available."

The monstrosity sells for US$350 (£178), and orders require 24 hours notice. The bar already offers 6-pound and 12-pound burgers.

That's not a hamburger..That's a giant meatloaf loaded on a piece of bread, covered with cheese slices, with another piece of bread on top of it...

Now this is a real burger (Hardee's/Carl Jr's Monster Burger)===>linked-imagewub.gif

It,s big, but i agree Pinky Floyds looks better! Many years ago i worked at a place where you could order a burger(not on the menu) but the chef called it a garbage burger, and you never knew what was going to be on it, as it depended on what was available in the kitchen at that momment. It always came with 4 patties though, and then if there were eggs frying or pancakes, whatever was cooking would go onto this thing, as well as every condement and lettuce, tomatoes, pickles etc... Another place had something along the same line, but theirs was called everything but the kitchen sink burgers. They were huge! There were about five of us girls who ordered one once, and we could only eat abot half of the thing! Back then it cost a wopping $5.00! Yes that was a very long time ago! laugh.gif

Haha, I've been to Mallie's before. It's only about 5 miles from where I live. If you eat the 6 pound burger within I believe 2 hours, you get a $50 gift certificate, and don't have to pay for the burger. You also get a picture taken, and are recognized for winning.

Here is what the restaurant looks like from the outside:
