I think someone is playing a hoax. Taking a remote control flying device(helicopter, etc.) and put clothing or a mock up on it and then flying it around. I am sure they are laughing there as* off somewhere.
Shankpin
I find this hilarious. laugh.gif

Hay man I know it was the Dominican Republic and not Mexico, but are these the same jokesters that brought us that bleached out sun-bathing stinky--fishy mermaid with very bad fake teeth… What was her Name oh yah..Mer-Linda! cool.gif

What did I wish for? Your post made no sense at all. Please clarify if you can. huh.gif

Wow. Such a first post.
Socio
It gets stranger;

Here is a a clip of it that is zoomed in and shows what ever it is walking across the top of a hill in bipedal motion then flying off of it in stride:

That Mexican dude on the video kept saying it was " too weird" and saying it was "extra terrestrial"

I honestly can't say what to make of it..

jim west
Wow, weird, Not saying this is real but keeping an open mind. I do believe that a lot of legends like those of giants, elves/pixies and so forth come from somewhere other than overactive imaginations, for example i remember the legends of giant ocotpus/squid which terrorised ships and so forth, well now we know giant squid do exist and to some extent the legend has been verified or we hear those cases of these abnormally large human skeletons found, it appears some of these legend could be based on fact. It would be interesting to know where the flying witch, broomstick and hat legend originated from, anyone know?

Looks like the Balloon has gone up in Mexico, have a look at this one,you can hear them laughing while it is being filmed.. grin2.gif

Moon Demon
I remember something similar to this awhile back, turned out to be a ballon with a dress on it.
ShaunZero
That's just weird... I can't say I agree with the remote controlled device, it'd seem a bit hard to pull off. Most of the remote controlled flying toys are wobbly and don't appear to move like this thing does. So smoothe and elegant.
mouse888
i would have it might be a fake but for two officers to witness it its hard too tell!
could be the green goblin trying out the new glider huh.gif
She-ra
Yes, first thing I thought of were those "free fall" wings. Any human can wear those, free fall and look like a flying alien/ witch. I think it looks a little like a hoax. Not to bring religion into this or anything but I believe the Mexican population is quite religious...no?? Maybe their religion incited some fear as well. I don't know... just thinking out loud; that could be totally wrong. Just my thoughts.
chrisfreak
I thought people already know that it's a balloon? huh.gif

And the video was uploaded more than 6 months ago

I don't see how the post above mine proves that it was a balloon? It was certainly not zoomed in well enough to give any details at all of what it was. Just because the people watching it and filming it assumed it was a balloon doesn't make it a balloon, just as people filming it and believing it's a alien doesn't make it an alien.

However, this zoomed in clip, which clearly shows the thing WALKING on the mountain before jumping of and pulling its legs up and flying out in the air makes it more interesting and harder to explain as a balloon: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cp5YMx5UHbk

Can anyone explain that? It is clearly visible that it seems like a person/humanoid creature WALKING ON THE MOUNTAIN, legs are MOVING etc, before it PULLS the legs up as it flies from the mountain. Damn strange!
Ciraxis
I want one of whatever that thing is flying on
darkbreed
Maybe it's some technology similar to this but just improved so it's much smaller, it seems like the person/being is holding something in its hands or perhaps something that is connected and strapped to its body in front.

exactly.

the mistake the prank creator did was he literally took the stereotyped version of a witch to be with a pointed cap, wearing a cape and of course....riding a broomstick!!
If he had done something else that follow a stereotyped image, people would have believed it.
darkbreed
So how do you explain that it is walking on the mountains with legs clearly visible before pulling up the legs just before flying off the cliff? At least that's what it looks like in that zoomed in clip, and seems it's moving the arms as it's walking too :S
M_K
If this is a balloon it must have one hell of a turbo engine installed somewhere for it to fly so fast!
Even though it seems to be flying at a rapid pace it is still a lot quicker than how a balloon travels.

And just to take another example in the video - The second officer - Why would 2 balloons be circeling around a cemetary?

While it does look incredibly creepy, I think that's just the result of the extreme pixelization blending together the edges of the object and the ledge when they're almost touching. It's sort of filling in the gaps, like watercolours running together, albeit in a freaky rhythm that makes it look like walking legs.

I can't see the moving arms myself, and it doesn't change its posture when it switches from 'walking' to floating like you'd expect with a living creature. That said, it is really creepy, and I have no idea what it could be. I'm not buying into the balloon explanation though.
MetalGearHunter
If it's a balloon or an RC plane with a dress on, flying just above the mountain top, perhaps the dress is dragging, or the wind is blowing giving it the illusion of walking legs. or like Jesse Cutter above me said the pixels blend making it look like it's walking.

For once in my lifetime I would like to see a clear, visible video of any kind of paranormal activity. I can get a clearer video with my digital camera, that has a secondary function as a video recorder. Too much of a coincidence that Bigfoot, Loch ness, any UFO, and even that "gnome" sighting in Argentina are all filmed with poor quality cameras.
Skim Milky
well at least its actually clear, thing is there is no way to show it isnt a remote controled something. whats odd is that you cant see any type of propellers or blades like u would on a helicopter, and it seems to move to slow to be powered like an airplane would be.
Wolfox
I don't find this video very believable.
foxgirl
I don't know what to think. At first the flying looks really fake, then you see the thing walking first then taking off. Too confusing for me

Wtf was that vid, some guys up on a roof whats so special about that.
frequency411
Well after watching that zoomed in footage, it's obviously illusonist stuff, I mean sh** dudes, ever watch Chris Angel?
Harriet Reed
It does look a bit strange. At first I thought it was a hoax but after hearing the police testimony and watching that zoomed in video, I'm not so sure. It just sounds really clichéd - you know, the pointy hat, broomstick etc.
Smokin-Thunder
This is obviously fake.
That's a really bad quality video recording aswell, surprisingly. And it goes too transitionally from walking to flying, too good, a witch would have to stop and get onto the broom/flying machine.

It's a hoax, but not a really lame one.
Rockerchick2008
I don't believe its a balloon first of all, if it was it would most likely be filled with helium, so the balloon would go up, it it was air there would have to be a decent breeze for it to go, even then it would be wobbly and you would see the wind blowing it in different directions, which we don't if you look in at the zoomed in clip you see legs underneath the cloak or dress or whatever, which is another indication that it is a person, so even having a remote controlled plane would be out of the question because it couldn't hold the weight of the average person, this could be a hoax, i don't know, but if it was i'd be very intrested in finding out how they did it, but then I also believe that alot of myths and Legends do have some basis to them, ultimately i'm not sure but I would like to find out.
AllP0werToSlaves
The first time I saw this it scared the crap out of me. Now, I'm not so sure what to think.
Justice please
It was in LAs Mitras" in monterrey, Mexico... Not in the Dominican Republic.

Sorry Pavot it was in LAs Mitras" mountains in Monterrey, Mexico... Several sightings of the same have shown up there. I wonder if different dimentions are opening up and these beings are starting to come out.
hornofhawthorn
Sorry to burst your bubble guys but...the whole flying humanoid thing...not so mysterious...take a look at this youtube video http://youtube.com/watch?v=KV_z4WLju-w
so if anything...it's some scientist pulling the mexicans' legs by dressing up in a wizard of oz costume and flying around on this machine...i mean seriously, how cool would that be - to doop someone that well!
