I LEAD A PARANORMAL RESEARCH GROUP OUT OF EATON, OHIO. I HEARD THEY HAD TORE DOWN THE LIMA TB HOSPITAL. IS THERE ANY TRUTH TO THAT? WE WERE CONSIDERING TAKING A TRIP THERE FOR AN INVESTIGATION. I WOULD HATE TO WASTE SEVERAL HOURS OF DRIVING FOR NOTHING.
it is soooo good to read these posts! i was there in '86 and was a bit, ummmm...buzzed at the time. for so long now, i've wondered if my memories were those of a sober mind or a clouded one. when i was there, there were still specimen type jars on shelves in several rooms, the children's wing was soooo freaking scary because of that HUGE mural and the top parts of a lot of the walls were totally singed from fire. in many places, the ceiling had collapsed onto the floor. we heard a lot of noises, but thought it was the caretaker, or the sound of us walking on the fallen ceiling tiles. at least that's what we kept telling ourselves! it's the scariest place i've ever been! there were 5 of us who went that night and i've told so many people about it since then, but never thought i'd be able to "go back" again (via internet.) the pics posted now look nothing like when i was there. of course, i guess nothing's as scary in the daytime as it is at night. but there was no graffiti when i was there and all the equipment seems to be gone now. it was so eery because it looked like a lot of it had just been walked away from!
