I've been rather bored today, so I've been looking through a bunch of "ghost" videos on youtube. I'd say 98% that I've watched so far are absolute tosh, but I've found a few interesting ones.

I'm not by any means saying I think these are real... I just find them a little more intriguing than the majority of pap on youtube.

Ghost Girls head
I really like this one, I find it really creepy, although, the girl looks very real, very "alive" (although pale) It could possibly have been done with clever editing, either way I think it's quite impressive.

Manifestation
I think I like this one because it looks like how I think a ghost should look like (although, it's not like the few I "think" I've seen). It's as if a light has been shined on a person, and those are the only bits you can see, everything in shadow is invisible. If that makes sense...

Poltergeist?
I like this one because it doesn't seem staged at all. And it's not over-dramatic. Obviously it could really be anything (a draft, perhaps?) but even if that is the case, it's a good example of how one jumps to conclusions.

Not sure...
I thought I'd include this one, to find out what people thought? I THINK the shadow is supposed to be an apparition... Yet to me it just looks like a shadow...

I think that will do for now...

Hi chewlip . First off thanks for posting some videos its been a little quiet on the video and picture front . they seem to have taken a back seat to ouija threads , so its interesting to see some footage for a change .

I have seen the first one with the girls head before . and although it looks good I do think its edited but a good attempt none the less .

The scond one Manifestation I havent seen before but i think its probably a lens flair but i could be wrong .

The Poltergeist one is interesting as it doesnt look staged . I agree it could be the wind or someone behind the door as we never see that but its still interesting .

The last one in the babies room . I never understood why they say they want to record their babies movements and activities in the night yet film the door , so that makes me doubtful . and i agree its probably just a shadow of a real person . but who knows . again i could be wrong .

Thanks again. i enjoyed watching them original.gif

Looks good but I think it would also be quite easy for the "girl" to duck as the person is coming around the corner. After the cameraperson turns the corner the camera pans to the top of the building. Quite easy for the "girl" to move to the other side of the corner. Timing would have to be good but it wouldn't seem hard.

Manifestation

I agree with a flare or a smudge on the lens.

The people do seem startled. What bothers me is that once the door is opened, NO ONE touches the door. Some one goes out the door and comes back in but seems to avoid actually touching the door. Wonder why? I would either close it or open it or something. Just seems suspicious to me.

Not sure...

I agree with a previous poster, why attempt to film your kid and point the camera at the door??

I agree with SS, but how could you not think that even the poltergeist one was staged? Someone could've been on the otherside of the door. It's been well documented that poltergeist activity is the result of physical manifestations of the heightened emotional state of tweens and young teens, mostly female.

Oh, no, don't get me wrong, this could easily have been faked, but compared to all the other "poltergeist" videos I've watched, this seems to be more natural. It would appear that most other videos that pertain to be "real" are a lot more dramatic and most seem to make a point out of the room being empty apart from the camera. Also, as I pointed out, it could just be a draft.

Also, IF poltergeists actually exist, and ARE caused by the emotional energy of pubescent females, who's to say that there are no people fitting that description living in that house, that we don't see? I'm pretty sure there are at least a few supposed poltergeist reports that DON'T revolve around teens.

Good videos thanks for posting! Not sure about the poltie one though, looked real but someone could have been behind the door?

nice a couple vids i havent seen before....

first the girls head, if you frame by frame it you can see what appeares to be her arm, or jacket when she turns and runs, which to me seemed like a quick edit give away.

i saw nothing in the manifestation one which was a little dissappointing.

The last one of the crib annoys the me to no end. its stupid, and clearly staged, and as mentioned in prev posts why wouldnt you tape your child directly?

as for the poltergeist one, i was really intrigued at first. then i watched it about 15 times and analyzed everyones reactions.

the girl on the far left turns toward the door as it is closing, which made sense since it was in her peripheral vision, the guy next to her turns his head halfway towards the door as it is about 2/3 of the way to slamming. I think he noticed that girl number one was looking at something, possibly the tv but it got his attention. When the door slams, girl number screams a bit too long for me, and over reacted. you saw the door moving, and were looking right at it when it slammed so why did it get you that much. If anything i think Girl number 2 should have had that reaction as she was engrossed reading the question (the answer to which is freddie mercury, just in case anyone wasnt sure or is under the age of 20).

It is in fact girl number 2, the reader that gives this video away as a fake. after she jumps a bit in reaction (most of which was probably caused by the scream of G#1) she immediately looks off camera instead of at the door or her friend where the noises came from. you can see for yourself at :20 sec mark, and combined with the fact that you cant see the top of the door or the knob, or whats behind it, this video is a clever fake, that at a casual glance is quote convincing. especially with the TV shutting off as the door slams.

UPDATE!!!

I've just watched the polt one again... The TV also turns itself off when the door slams... although that could easily be a result of a wire or something coming loose because of the slam.

Also... The Ghost girl's head... I noticed that after the camera chases the girl... and finds nothing, and then turns around (at 8-9 seconds) it looks as though there is someone in the trees. I think this might mean it's fake, because when the camera intially goes around the corner, the wall, for a second or two, isn't in shot... making it possible for the "ghost" to pass on the wall side and run into the trees to hide. (by "ghost" I mean a living human girl - a hoax) See what you think.

Ghost Girl head: FAKE! If you look at it frame by frame you can see the girl white tennis shoe and black pants as the camera operator runs around the corner, camera then looks to the left into the trees just long enough for the girl to run back the other way, between the camera guy and the church wall, and duck back around the corner the camera guy just came from. ... the camera then pans around for the "where did she go?" shot...

Ghost Girls head
I really like this one, I find it really creepy, although, the girl looks very real, very "alive" (although pale) It could possibly have been done with clever editing, either way I think it's quite impressive.

There is a definite edit point just as the camera reaches the edge of the corner of the building.

Manifestation
I think I like this one because it looks like how I think a ghost should look like (although, it's not like the few I "think" I've seen). It's as if a light has been shined on a person, and those are the only bits you can see, everything in shadow is invisible. If that makes sense...

There are spotlights above that I can see almosts burning into the lens. This "trail" is merely from the above spotlights.

Poltergeist?
I like this one because it doesn't seem staged at all. And it's not over-dramatic. Obviously it could really be anything (a draft, perhaps?) but even if that is the case, it's a good example of how one jumps to conclusions.

I noticed the man says something about being shocked or something in the video. The TV turns off and the door slams. Could be related somehow since the first question was asked and the game handles may have something to do with "zapping" the players. For sure, why else would they be filming that? tongue.gif

Not sure...
I thought I'd include this one, to find out what people thought? I THINK the shadow is supposed to be an apparition... Yet to me it just looks like a shadow...

Why isn't the camera on the baby? Read the intro to the video and then watch. Doesn't make sense not to have the camera on the baby in question.

I think that will do for now...

Very interesting. Thanks for sharing original.gif Jody

Very good! I couldnt agree with you more. Thank you for your (In my opinion) dead on description of the video. wink2.gif

this one 2

and this 1
chewlip
I just found this one to add...

Could be faked, as the "ghost" is static, but the reactions of the 2 people are convincing.

I've seen them before but don't stop posting them, i love it when i get to see a new one and i look all day for them..... grin2.gif
The Valcian
The 4th one is a proven fake.

Look at the door handle when the 'shadow' passes over it. You will see it literally 'phase' up an inch or two - which is a result of video editing/frame splicing.

If you search on youtube, there's a video that examines this clip and points out various other inconsistencies.

I seen it here before and some have suggested a 'duck and roll' and some saying a clear editing.

Its new to me and it looks like a reflection on the lens from the lightings and shadows.

Nice one but like You Tube, its just a bunch of tricksters. Can't see the bottom of the door and anybody could of been behind it. Convenient that the camera was turned on when it happened.
Not sure...
I thought I'd include this one, to find out what people thought? I THINK the shadow is supposed to be an apparition... Yet to me it just looks like a shadow...
Its been here before and as mentioned, why the door?
I think that will do for now...

Thanks chewlip for these and they do appear questionable among other You Tube videos. thumbsup.gif

Hi Chewlip, thanks for the find...I remember these videos being around UM before, especially the one about the baby...Everyone seemed to have the same comment on the camera on the door....Always good to look at them again....
