PALM BAY, Fla. -- A Palm Bay woman claims her fast-food lunch included the head and front half of a frog and she snapped a cell phone photo to prove it.

Michelle Arndt, 32, told Local 6 News partner Florida Today that she ordered a salad with fried chicken strips and found the frog after eating about half of the salad.

Local 6 and Florida Today have not named the restaurant where the salad was purchased.

"I think it's totally disgusting," Arndt said. "Where is the other half of the frog?"

Arndt said a manager took the salad and her receipt and gave her a refund. Arndt used her cell phone to take a picture of the frog, which she described as being the size of two quarters and having small beady eyes.

A manager at the Palm Bay restaurant referred Florida Today to the company's corporate headquarters before hanging up.

Arndt said she did not put the frog in her salad and said security camera footage would show her as she ate the salad.

You are right! If you people saw how processed meat was made...you would never eat a cold cut sandwich again! In my town, the local Krystal's restaurant was shut-down because people were finding coch roaches in their chili. Upon investigating the restaurant the health department discovered that the place was infested with roaches!! It wasnt just the chili...yuk I still shudder when I think bout it !

I think if you order a salad at a restaurant, it's not asking too much for it to be free of frogs.

I ignore most foreign objects I find in food. I know, I worked in the food industry for many years. However...

I too draw the line at this kind of stuff. Hair is a no-no, as are large bugs. My wife once found a worm, alive an well in her salad, about the size of a macaroni at a local restaurant. The owners solution was to offer her a free dessert, since she had eaten almost ALL of the salad already...I laughed my ass off.

I,m so glad i,m not big on going out to eat! I prefer to prepare my own food, at least i know i,ve washed and cooked it proper!

lol my roomoie worked at A&W and he told me what they used to do...I wont eat there...

i went out with one of my girlfriends once for lunch and ordered a ceasar salad.. and also had the added bonus of a hair in it... when i complained the meal was taken away, brought back and i was told that it was a 'fibre' from the lettuce...
