Well, maybe you can give some more info about what you tried? Kind of medtitation and how you tried to follow it's instructions. There are so many kinds of meditation.Personally I prefer the breathing in/out technique taught by the Buddha according to Theravada Buddhism

. And actually in Tibetian meditation, it's all about focussing energy to your chakra's. You don't GET more energy, but you just FEEL it's presence more.
