The idea of this one is to create a chain of haikus that tell a story.

You create a standard 5-7-5 syllable haiku that continues
with the story, mood, or feel of the previous haiku

so if someone wrote:

standing terrified
awaiting what might happen
gargoyles at the heels

you might write

demons of ill will
casting leers of dark intent
pounce quickly on prey

so that it continues the story

It may be a little difficult,.. but that's why it's a "challenge".

The first one below will hopefully
be fairly easy to follow:

deep in dark shadows
unseen forces ply their skills
bent on destruction

celestial cops
patrol unchartered wastelands
evil manifest

all things dark beings
furious and seek vengence
strike with no mercy

all innocent ones
flee in stark raving terror
from the dark onslaught

twilight voices keen
lost sense of directions
disoriented

strength rose from chaos
mounting an opposition
evil force be warned

dark forces gather
a sulfuric stench invades
piercing the stale air

armed with earthy talent
evil splashed with holy water
absorbs and recoils

retreat is short lived
forces strengthens its armor
ready to plunge forth

a coma induced horizon
of castles filled with blood
distant fear visciously awaits

all the fools rush in
without any second thoughts
to meet unknown foe

not a glimpse of fear
as they enter the unknown
ready for battle

crashing of thunder
facing ravenous mad wolves
driven by hunger

soldiers of the light
bringing streaks of white tigers
turn to face the wolves

fleeting images
convergences ultimate
pandemonium

a clash of titans
never before being known
rampant violence

gargoyles spouting
monolithic monuments
launching silent screams

gargoyles watching all
wolves bare their white fanged teeth
tigers lunge to pounce

exhuming chaos

anarchy taking control
demolishing all

to roam the bleak night

lustful demonic veins
weeping sorrow amongst
dungeons catered for Queens

a strange waking sleep
red dawn before the darkness
self-sealing futures

driven mad by a
unrelenting hunger that
pulses through their core

survival rate - zero
resisting forbidden fruit
indestructible

bloodied battlefields drowned
stake stricken era futiel
hell mouth fort of Kings

driven from within
untold forbidden secrets
passing beyond fear

honest demonic fearing remorse
destined to become whole
growth of distance mentors aline

unrelentlessly
sorceror's mad world fatal
warlocks screeching glee

thundering hoofbeats
pound the bloody field, fire
