Every year? No, I can guarantee that their albums would suck if they did that. Bands need to take time to create albums.
Most do require time (esp newer bands), however, some of the really great ones don't. Many of the early Stones and Zeppelin (others too) albums were written, recorded and ready for distribution in the same month. The one that really comes to mind is Deep Purple's 'Machine Head' (IMO one of the greatest rock albums ever) which was written, recorded and produced in
27 days total-even with their hotel headquarters burning down to the ground ('and died with an awful sound' per the song 'Smoke on the Water'-which was written the morning after the fire over breakfast...)
Why can't newer bands get back to this 'rawness'?? You would think that newer recording techniques and equipment would speed the process up..not slow it down..
/just wonderin'..
//lookin' forward to 'Indestructible' as well..
