Something I have discovered recently has been the joy that is the Online arcade.

For those of you that don't know these places tend to have card,puzzle and billard games that you can play for free against other opponents.

So I have decided to make a guide to online arcades. I will update this as I can so keep checking back. As well if you have an online arcade you like that is not posted here PM, IM or EM me and I will check them out and post them with my thoughts. I will also give you credit for giving me the heads up on the site.

So now Syko's online arcade Guide:

Candystand : Run by Lifesavers and powered by Shockwave this site has many games some of wich you won't see on other arcades. My suggested game to try:Boardwalk Bowling Rating so far: ***


popcap : most popcap games end up on other online arcades. But luckily not all. Popcap has some games that range from exceptionlly fun to plain wrong. My suggested game to try here is: Insaniquiarium

freearcade : I don't know much about this one. It seems ok But I have been spending my time on another arcade. I'll post more about it as I find out more.

Weasel Circus : More of a funny pictures/e-card site Weasel circus does have some good games. But they have been overshadowed recently by other arcades. Their main game source is Popcap. My suggestion: the pictures and Spank the Frank Rating: ***

Pogo : Quite possibly my Favorite One yet. Pogo Is run by EA games and has a wide selection of games from Poker to games based of the EABIG line. Most games are played for Tokens wich can be used to enter drawings. A definate must see site. My suggested games: High Stakes pool, the Sims Pinball, It's outta here 2, and many more. Rating: *****


Uproar : About like most other arcades. It raises itself above the mundane by having multiplayer games based on Gameshows. I haven't dug around enough to rate it or find a favorite game.


*note on ratings: I use a five star method. How I rate them is off of my opinion only. But is based off of Variety of games, general feel and overall enjoyment.

** Sites such as Yahoo games or MSN games have been excluded from this list. Although good sites IMHO they were a given. I am trying to post Arcades that few may know of.

not that I am promoting piracy.... ... ....

I dug around Ultimate arcade some....Damn you one eye for getting my Pac man addiction up again.....Anyway i'll try to get e reveiw up this weekend....My weekends are friday through sunday and it's usually the only time I get to do much playing....

And Xeno, nuthin against ya man but due to the legal grey area's emulators pose I'd rather leave them off the list.....and trust me I am not a tsick in the mud when it comes to them but just to keep Saruman and us out of any trouble.....
