I've said on here often enough that there is beauty in all religions I want to ask you all what other religion besides yours do you think appeals to you I'm not asking what would you consider converting too.
What other religion do you find beauty in other then your own & why.

Quakerism. Because they don't tell you what to believe. You are allowed to experience God's revelations for yourself.

Buddhism I find interesting. I like it's philosophy of changing the way you think to achieve inter peace. Plus Buddha was an actual real person.

Buddhism, because of the simplicity and profoundness of the message.

I no longer belong to any religion. I don't know a whole lot about Quakerism, mostly what I've read here on the boards, but based on what I've read, I tend to agree with Neo.
I think there is beauty in Christianity and Buddhism, because they've incorporated some ancient wisdom in some of their doctrine.
I guess that could be said about almost all religions though. However, most seem to want to take the credit for originality.

Surprisingly, Judaism. I've always found the Hebrew scriptures to be charmingly elegant, and I have an utmost admiration for the old Jewish theologians. Those men would think for years on a single sentence of the Torah, in order to discern God's will. Its really amazing stuff. Well, that and Native American spirituality. Its hard not to admire the Natives, and if I had to pick which religion was most likely closest to the 'truth' it would be the Native American style spirituality.

Perhaps Hinduism. They were closer than anyone else when it came to creation mythology and the age of the universe. Of course the religion is far from flawless, with it's horrible caste system that Gandhi, perhaps the most famous Hindu in existance, criticized himself.

I think Catholic masses are beautiful. Half my family's Catholic and live in Montreal, and the Cathedrals are so pretty.
Every religion has some beauty to it. The Native American's beliefs were awesome, and the art that accompanied them, with the earthy colors they used, were gorgeous.
I love the Eastern religions too, the colors, the music, the stories. I think Chinese Buddhism is beautiful, and Hindu just blows me away.

Taoism, if perfection can't be found trying to be like Christ, the philosophy imparted in the Tao te Ching is the best alternative, imo. If I were not LDS I would be a Taoist.

what I find interesting is the theoretical construction of ethical monothesism in particular and how it is bits and pieces of so many other religions such as dualism, dynamism, animus, pantheist, polytheist, henothesit etc etc......As I am about music sort of an e'tude in theoretical construction.........
Indeed Inner it borrows from ancients and has evolved into what we have today...
i also see no reason to personally beleive in dietys , and yet i appreciate the simplicity of buddhism, yet IMO its spontatneous unfoldng that just happens IMO one uses it as a steping stone not to crete a dependency .... .....I stay away from all religions as a life style.......my passion is paradigms and how they are culture defining and the impact they have on humanity...

If there was no evil how would you define "good"? There can't not be evil, and buddhism isn't about destroying evil, its about coming to peace with it. It's not that evil wouldn't exist, it just wouldn't hold any control over anyone.

I too would say Taoism... But as a Quaker, that's no big surprise. I have a great deal of respect for some of the eastern yogaic traditions as well--but that's what I was raised with.

Salaam (Peace)
Taoism is very attractive to me. There is no imagery of "god" and that is very important to me, but it always lacked the clear religious structure I am inclined toward.

I find beauty in all the religions I have studied, but I also believe there would be beauty in the others that I haven't.
Christianity
Satanism
Buddhism
Wicca
Paganism
Quakerism
Taoism
The Egyptian Gods
The Greek and Roman Gods
Atheism
ETC.

I guess perhaps religion could be compared to beauty, or to love; in the sense that, "beauty is in the eye of the beholder".
Of course, since I have love for only my one chosen love, I am biased.
I do agree with all those who posted that there is beauty in every "religion". Personally, I lean towards nature; so earth, wicca, paganism and similar faiths resonate with me.
Hhmmm ... now, according to orthodox Christianity, have I just condemned myself to hell?

I adore High Renaissance and Baroque period Roman Catholic paintings, sculpture, and architecture. The classical music related to the church is perfect. Then again, most classical is.

The symbolism involved in the art is magnificent, as is the symbolism within Roman Catholicism itself. I could ceaselessly read about the saints; learning their tales and their own individual symbolism. I also like the ritual and complexities within the Mass, sacraments, etc. If I had faith I'd return.
