"And I saw the dead,
small and great, standing before God,
and books were opened.
And another book was opened,
which is the Book of Life.
And the dead were judged according to their works,
by the things which were written in the books."

How to Change Yourself:

We must remove old habits and develop new ones. The principles to help us improve ourselves: faith, love, repentance, , prayer, avoiding temptation, and patience.

Have you ever had difficulty trying to change a habit? Human beings are creatures of habit. We tend to continue acting as we have acted in the past. Like a river flowing through a canyon, the longer a habit continues, the more deeply it becomes ingrained, and the harder it is to change. This is true of all habits, good or bad
.

Ephesians 4:22-24 shows that major changes must occur when we are converted to serve God. Old practices and attitudes must be replaced by new ones. Christians must learn good habits like Bible study, prayer, love, faith, patience, attending church meetings, giving, teaching others, etc. We must also eliminate bad habits like foul language, uncontrolled temper, gambling, drugs, smoking, drinking, gossip, lying, pornography, sexual promiscuity, etc.

Knowing what changes to make is not enough. We also need to know how to make them. Change does not come easily. Since the Scriptures provide us to all good works (2 Timothy 3:16,17), they give all the guidance we need. God's word is the best source of guidance for self-help and motivation for self-improvement.

Becoming a christian requires change, but lets for a moment include everyone here in this question, Christians and all other faiths or non religious.
What are some things about yourself that needs changing and what are you willing to do to make such changes?
It is very hard to change lifelong habits, as a christian I have had to give up some much loved things in my life and I gladly done so for God. I gave up smoking(although I truthfully still have trouble with that one), gave up gambling as in the lotto, I gave up a lot more things but my point is I done so for my faith, for God.
What are some things you would like to give up or change about yourself that would make you a better person?
Always a pleasure

As a Druid my changes have come from the inside. My family and friends have notice a number of changes in me. I am slower to anger, more peaceful, more patient and kinder to others. What I am trying to do now is to get my body to catch up with my mind and lose weight become more healthy and fit. That is hard to do, but I am getting there. I didn't have to change very much to become a Pagan. It is like you have been one all your life, but you don't know what you are until the Mother calls to you, then she opens you like a flower.

I can't honestly answer the question,I don't know what would make me a better person.I don't consider myself especially good nor especially bad .I stopped smoking some years ago but not because I thought it would make me a better person (except from a health angle) I perhaps could be a little more tolerant because I don't suffer fools gladly.apart from that I'll just tootle along as usual, hoping I don't cause any damage on my way

P.S

I did make a new year resolution to stop fornicating when I reached 80 years old ,that ought to be worth a few brownie points

As a Druid, myself I have learned to be more patience with those of other beliefs, I have had some many bad experiences with those of the Christians faith & I believe that it does have a lot to do with where we live. Patience has never been one of my best traits it is my biggest vise in life. Since becoming a Pagan more specifically a Druid I have learned to close my eyes & listen to the Goddess & seek her advice, but not before trying to do it myself.
I try to exhaust all possible ways of getting something done before I go to my Gods for help. I as in a car wreck a while back & broke 3 ribs & my wrist I gained 45 extra pounds because it hurt too bad to move. When I first met my wife I had got my weight down to 210ish but I’ve become so comfortable with my wife & I know she will love me no matter how much weight I gain. I’ve never been heavy in my life so this is hard on my body & it’s taken its toll on me & I’m afraid if I do not lose this weight before long it will kill me. Over all I have become a much better person for choosing the path that, I am on now.
