Awhile back I did a little research about binaural beats and found a free program I could download that supposedly would help get your brain waves to the right state for AP. I haven't had much direct success with it. Does anybody know a good period of time to space the beat changing to a lower frequency? Or some other type of progression or pattern that seems to be more successful?

It's fantastic- Holosync / Hemisync technology is extremely useful in many ways. I personally bought a program called Neuro Programmer 2 at www.neuro-programmer.com - it is really great and highly recommended. You can download a free trial version of it there.

I've used these programs from everything from astral projection, to meditation, to have visions, to relax when stressed, as sleep induction, to get awake if tired, to take quick power naps, to do self hypnotic regressions (past life, future, astral travels etc) and many other things.

Another interesting one is I-Doser from www.i-doser.com if I remember correctly, and Brainwave Generator which is an old classic in this field.

Also, if you are interested in astral projection and altered states of mind I HIGHLY recommend getting The Gateway Experience from the Monroe Institute, it's really amazing, I've tested it out and had some very interesting results as it combines hemi-sync technology with guided meditation etc and step by step teaches you from lesson to lesson how to project, how to get into different states of mind, how to advance and etc.

If you are interested in the astral projection and remote viewing subject, I also recommend www.farsight.org for free remote viewing audio course, though it got nothing to do with brainwave technology as the other mentioned prorgams above does.

Best of luck be with you!

Yeah, I have the brainwave generator because it is free. How does it compare to other programs?

It's the least good of them, but still has good potential, if you get some of the other presets that you can find for free at their websites. I even made one myself and put out there.

One of my favorites are Deep Mind IV, luckily I managed to find a conversion of it for my Neuro Programmer as well. Neuro Programmer is the best one I've come across so far due to all its functions and possibilities.

It was so good I actually paid for it and bought the full version, and trust me that is not something I do often lol

I second the gate-way experience from the monroe institute.
Guided lessons to astralprojection and altered states.
I had amazing results and astral projected on the 3d last lesson.
Though be prepared to redo some of the lessons but it's a good thing.

I really recommend it!

Is there software protection on your program? =-)

Out of boredom, and lack of marijuana I decided to try I-Doser.

It works. They have many "doses" for sale, which are supposed to emulate the effects of substances. Some are:

alchohol
benzos
opiates
mescaline
peyote
inhalants

I wonder if binaural beats can kill brain cells? Lol.
