I was reading and it said that she couldn't do it in front of observers if they were skeptical, It makes me wonder why people or professors would want to even show up a showing like that if they were going to be skeptical about the whole thing. It seems to me that they would have a least a little bit of belief in such an ability for them to even show up. Why waste their time and other peoples time by showing up with their skepticism which could turn to rudeness or some other disturbance and therefore distracting the individual and making them unable to perform their ability. I also believe it is rude to the other people looking on that believe in such a thing as telekinesis or other such capabilities. I myself would find it rude for someone to be a skeptic at a live showing of such capabilities.
Any sane logical human being should go into such a situation with a bit of skepticism, an open mind but still skepticism. I didnt read the entire article but what you are getting at sounds familiar. Also that article mention Nina (who has been discussed at length here and come from a biased site (also someone who has been discussed here).
If there is no skepticism (ie doubt) then what have you? Blind belief. If she could not do it in front of skeptics it means she could only do it in front of believers. Such believers are more liable to fall for trickery or to dismiss certain things because of their belief. The only way she could "prove" her abilities would be in front of a small selected group of people that showed a real belief in what she claims already. The bias is plain to see here.
How else would any scientist study these things? They have to have skepticism but they have to have an open mind. Belief so proof can be shown to you belongs in one of the religion forums. Not here.....
