Phase 3
Hey, to make this short and sweet a friend and I are in the process of writing a mordenized folktale book for kids. Carefully trying not to copy any folktales from the classic scary stories books by Alvin Schwartz. We already have quite a bit but what I was wondering is if any of you can throw some ideas/topics which would make a good childrens story. Thanks

Brothers Grimm - Some inspiration. Can't rhyme any off the top of my head but I hope the link helps.

When you say a 'modernised folktale' book, do you mean a collection of modern urban legends, or a modern retelling of old folk tales?

So in other words you are talking pre-existing works and copying them because you are to uncreative to come up with an original premise?

How about coming up with a completely new idea to make into a children's story and leave classic tales alone.

We are doing that as well, thanks for your thoughts.
