RSPK (recurrent spontaneous psychokinesis) is a term used to describe when paranormal activity happens often around a particular individual (referred to as the "agent'), which is often described as poltergeist activity. The activity can range from apparitions to objects moving about on their own. I noticed quite often in this forum posters referring to poltergeists as demons, or trickster spirits. The activity surrounds a person who is often under great stress, or the type of person who suppresses their emotions. RSPK is often associated with adolescents because they are going through puberty which can cause a strong emotional state, but the agent can be anyone that meets the criteria, regardless of age or gender.

So, have you ever interacted with anyone who has this amazing ability, or does it have to do with a special shampoo the "agent" uses to attract ghosts or pop bottles? I haven't tell me your experiences. Are you a poltergeist, is it something that has to do with your MIND, or is it a rift in SPACE, how many TIMES has this happened? Just looking for some info!

The only experiences that I have had are concerning an old house that I totally gutted and remodeled and now live in. Shortly after finishing the remodel my wife and I took some old stuff out of the attic of another house we wanted to sell. Among the things we took were letters from 1862 from a soldier written to his father about how miserable life was where he was stationed. Shortly after doing this, I started hearing a man’s voice screaming with rage at someone (I got the impression it was a woman he was screaming at, I don’t know why). At first I thought it was a neighbor screaming at someone. It was unnerving because it sounded like if the recipient of the verbal abuse said or did anything in response he would kill them, there was that much rage in the voice.
One time when I heard it I thought it might be my stepson screaming at his mother (my wife) so I went down and asked her where he was and if she heard anything. He had left about a half hour earlier and she said she didn’t hear anything.
About two weeks later my stepson was on the front porch smoking a cigarette and my wife and I had just fallen asleep when we were awakened by the front door slamming shut and him yelling that if I didn’t stop screaming at his mother he was going to kick my *ss. After questioning him he said he heard the same kind of screaming that I had heard earlier and thought it was the neighbor also. When it didn’t stop he put his ear to the door and the voice was louder, like it was coming from inside the house. He naturally assumed it was me. That has since stopped.
Now every once in a while there is a strange sound in the hallway, when we are standing in it. It is the distinct sound of a thick soft covered book like a real thick telephone book, being dropped on the floor right behind me. I have heard it, my wife and my sister-in-law have also heard it.
Outside of that there is nothing abnormal here and I don’t have a clue what it is or where it originates from, we just assumed it was from the letters because we went through everything and the letters seemed the most likely source.

I've met a few poltergeists,
They tend to throw things and I'm not fond of flying objects
Therefore I have never struck up a friendship with these angry fellows
Call me pedjudice, I just like my surroundings to remain still
One day I may get over this dislike/fear I call being Polto-phobic
Until then I avoid them...
Anyone else met a poltergeist???

I used to live in what might be called a "haunted house". We had pretty hardcore poltergeist activity when living here, such as kitchen drawers opening themselves so violently that forks and knives were thrown out onto the floor, the sound of people walking around when no one else were there etc.
Later I discovered that it was not only something happening in our house, but also couple other houses in same neighborhood. Then even later I found out large parts of this neighborhood, which was placed on top of a mountain, had been built upon old viking burial grounds.
I personally found several graves from the viking age both close to several houses as well as further away into the woods in the surrounding area.
So from that I've pretty much thought that those graves were the reason for these experiences, which never had happened before we moved there, nor after we moved away from that place. I think our house was placed directly on one of these graves.

Poltergeist can be caused by:
1) Someone going through changes and the emotions they are experiencing. Sexual changes as in adolescence and newly weds are two of the most familiar. As an example when someone in such a situation is angry at another it might occur.
2) Spiritual activity. I would not encourage the spirits by attempting to communicate with them. They will only get more strength but for them to even reach this level someone likely already has encouraged them through various means. Occult activity which might even seem benign or unrelated is such an instance of opening a gateway.
3) Psychic activity. Someone can deliberately cause poltergeist activity. They do not physically have to be near. They are doing this as an attack on someone to rattle them.

I'm not so sure I would call inducing poltergeists and amazing ability. On the other hand, the closest I'd have would be random objects disappearing, and never reappearing. We've always blamed my brother for it, but then the items never show up, or show up years later down the road. Yes, it's possible they are being hidden, but many of them vanish when my brother isn't home and turning the house upside down never helps us locate them. Some of these items are too large to misplace!
