Why is there an existence? Why are we here? Why are we able to interact and be alive? Why are there planets and moons and constellations. Okay, say the planets and primordial ooze.....what made the planets? Why are there planets and a universe? Really. What made the big bang? What was there to start it? We got started by primordial ooze...W TF made that???????? C'mon, really, why are there people? Why is there space??? Go free, athiests, go free............I wanna know

We're here because we are. Don't hurt yourself trying to go any further than that.

Thank you for that. But don't you think we are here for a reason?
Johnny Truant
I believe we're spiritual beings experiencing a physical existence, that we're part of something higher and have chosen to temporarily lower our vibration and split apart, in order to live as individual humans.

Does this answer?
Bella-Angelique
The meaning of life is to love and be loved. The purpose of the universe is to be our place to do that.

I think you said it very well, except for our choice in the matter. Thank you.
Ghost It Notes
But WHAT made the universe?? Did it just appear? I am sure somebody has the answer.
Bella-Angelique
This one is popular for some.

Well, it doesn't really sound like you know what you're asking.

Why is there existance? Well, if there wasn't, we wouldn't be here to ask "why is there existance?"

Why are we here? There doesn't have to be a why, if you believe evolution rather than creationism, we're a rather successful by-product of bi-focal eyes and opposable thumbs.

The planets are formed from the dust of exploded stars, as are all lifeforms.

No-one knows what made the big bang, and I don't think we ever will.

It sounds like you're expecting a couple of Big Answers to your Big Questions, when actually there aren't any. Just a lot of randomness, chaos, entropy, mistakes and surprises.
Rolci
Induce a lucid dream, imagine you're meeting an all-knowing person who can't lie, and ask "it" your questions and see what "it" has to say. Then ponder the meaning of the answer. If you like, imagine meeting Buddha, Gandhi, God, your guardian angel/spirit guide/animal guide or whomever you believe in and feel comfortable with for this purpose.
Celtic Spirit
It's understandable that we ask those questions but do we really think someone is going to give us the correct answer?
We will be given answers but are they accurate or just guesses or from some "believer" who feels obligated to let everyone know "the answer" or someone who thinks they know everything? Or some manipulator out to fool people into giving them money?
I believe in searching physically and spiritually and there are ways. Has the OP checked out what Einstein had to say and the religious people of the past (forget about present-day religious leaders). It's good to find what people have to say on forums like this. In the final analysis, if there is ever such a thing, we come to believe what we have arrived at, if we actually ever do reach a final conclusion.
Anyway I think those questions are often a deviation from our reality and not facing up to what the most likely condition is.
In reality I don't believe that there is an "answer" or even a "question" that can be absolutely definite. Everything is so relative that there is nothing that is definite, except for an instant, in relation to two or more things happening at the same time and then it all changes.

do you think there is a definite answer for that?
i guess time will come that most people will stop asking this question even without discovering the answers
Shadow Huntress
No-one knows the real answer to those questions- but there are hundreds of theories available, and millions, in people's minds. Why not just browse through the internet and pick one? And why does there have to be an answer, anyway? Isn't it better to be ignorant sometimes?
Johnny Truant
Curiosity.

But seriously, OP, I think you should hone in on ONE thing and ask/research that. Asking so many questions that could have totally unrelated answers isn't a smart move.

It seems either you already have an answer for yourself, or already thought you knew what we were going to say.
PulsE
only few who continue to search for an answers after many people give their opinions
and it seems like a question has an answer but an answer can create another question and a question can also create another question
is this our reality? full of questions which creates an illusionary answers and together with our organs which sense the illusionary world?
why would you not find an answer which convince yourself because its your own reality
i have a self explanation of my own reality, but an illusion to many
still i know the common reality which makes me go with the flow so people might not think im crazy for creating my own reality
how can we prove things? if we can perceive it with our senses?
then what if these senses just creates a common illusion?
what if the consciousness is the real reality? then how can someone prove it?

my answer for all of this is NOTHING
ignorance is bliss grin2.gif

Ok what if we imagine that the universe was here forever and humans are here forever? like before 2M years ago there are humans alive for the last 2M years and so on?

you cant answer that you have to exept whats there and dont question it
X~X~FluffyLudoX~X~
Why watse any of your life to ask a question that you know no one knows? We are here because we are here. We exist because we exist. Why was everything created? No one knows. Short answers are all that was needed. Dont try to explain something you cant. The simple answer is that we dont know.

Everything within this universe aims to completely balance itself out with everything else, it would rather exist as nothing here which is why you would ask this question. You need to realise that "nothing" as we experience it is still "something" from a different way of looking at it. For us to ever be able to answer this question we're going to have to look at different dimensions and why things do stuff in them. Space-time I believe was caused because of too much energy in other dimensions. Everything we see is energy in one way or another.
PsiSeeker
Quick note, its not really surprising that we are here since over an infinite amount of "Time" every possibility will eventually come to pass, and since time isn't the only dimensional construct you don't have to wait for every possibility to come to pass. The instant that we were able to exist we would have, because everything we experience is relative to ourselves, we don't experience reality from nothing. original.gif

Think of it like this The entire universe and space and planet and us are pointless. They are meanignless. but yet we are here we expereince and feel and love and cry. We are the meaning and the point. So don't ask why about things which are pointless. We put meaning to them thus there is no need to know wear they it all came from because they are pointless. They only have a point when we put a point on them. That's all you should be concerned about. What I'm trying to do is stop the "WHY!!!??" because it will ruin your life. To love and to be loved as one person all ready stated.

By asking why your missing the point.

For their to be nothing... doesn't their need to be something?

In reality, no.

If everyone thought like that there would be little progress. Tibetan Buddhists were very content by just living in the present and not questioning causes of anything physical. Not a bad way to live peacefully if you are the only race on earth. Some people love to search and do find answers that make sense to them. I can not imagine living without asking questions and studying the things that have been found, both physical and spiritual.

How does modern cosmology disconnect us from the universe? If anything it brings us closer because it shows that we are star stuff, made from the remnants of a supernova thats part of the natural cycle. The space between the stars doesn't really matter, because the space and the matter within it make up the universe and we are part of that.

I agree with you, but i think they are talking about the idea that the entire universe including the space between objects is a manifestation of the electrical force that is everywhere.
Or, at least, thats what i'm talking about.
