Go to the bios (may be works by pressing F2, F10, or Del button during the initial boot up), there's an option to disable the onboard video.

Well, in my case, it's not "disable", but I have to choose either AGP(it's PCI-E in your case) or the onboard video.

Right Click Computer Icon

Select Properties

Click Hardware Tab

Device Manager should be there somewhere

Find Display Adapters (Click the + sign to the left)

Find your Graphics card

Right click - Properties - Disable.

Hope that helps.

BIOS isn't something to be casually played with. ph34r.gif

You could try installing the new card and go into installed devices and make it default? Or try going into your display settings to make it default.

Also to just note here, are you sure your power supply will be able to run the card? I believe you need at least a 400w to 450w psu for that card with some good volts running to it.

In your bio's (del it should be if it's pheonix, like mine) go into integrated peripherals (or if not, go into each segment) and change your video to PCI-E.

Sometimes it takes a while to actually do it... I know it takes me two or three attempts to set it to PCI-E and for it to register.
