How would a debate section go down? These can vary in quality on different sites but I think we have the perfect mix of people to make interesting debates here. If it could be moderated it would be a cool addition to the forums. Could have X vs. Y organised debates and vote on winners, or just have threads as there are (though to be honest, with the nature of the forums being what it is, that would be pretty inane as it would be the same as starting a thread in the corresponding forum anyway).

But yeah, just an idea.

I don't not think that there are any plans to revive it at the moment.

The debates board will be making a comeback at some point but i'm not sure when that will be yet.

mhm. As I recall there was a large problem with people disappearing in the middle of the debates.

While it was incredibly enjoyable when they were working the fact is that it was a huge amount of work as well.

The Debate Organisers worked very hard to try to keep everyone contributing but the Debates just died a natural death.

I would love to know of a way to revive them successfully as they were enjoyable but I don't think it could work in the end as people will often not stic around long enough.
