I lived in Gaylord when i was a child,the babysitter, my brother and myself saw a creature out the window of our house. I am 42 now and i am wondering if any other people have seen this creature, and if anyone has any info on it. This thing looked like a large Black octopuss( aprox 5 feet) I think it had 6 tenticles, it looked almost like the back of a star fish with the ridge running the center across the back to the top of the arms.

If i recall there was a swamp behind the house.

My ex hubby was born and raised in gaylord mich. maybe it was him you say!! no just kidding but he really is from there.

Gaylord is a beautiful area, its a great place for golf enthusiasts.. It's a fabulous winter destination, also. I've been there several times, didn't really pick up on any myths or legends concerning strange creatures, though. The surrounding area is still quite open, however, lots of wildlife and forrests.

OMG No, It has already begun! The invasion of the land by the octopi!!!
