Moro,
My extremely sensitive foil pinwheel does not move when under the cover I pictured earlier in the thread. Are you saying yours does? Or is it set up differently to mine?

Now, I will agree with you there Papaver! When I put the pinwheel on a plate with water in it, then cover it with
a glass bowl it will not move. I have only experimented with that way once.
Edit: Now I'm sure if you were to put a little hot water on the plate then cover the pinwheel
with a glass bowl, that might make enough difference to make the pinwheel move.

That's swell, Tom. But what you didn't test was H's hypothesis:
QUOTE
That test you guys run, to see what makes a psi wheel spin naturaly, don't nessarily account for everyone...Like, if at lets say, papavers house, the wheel spins when he's not even in the room, or it spins when He's sittin next to it...Just cause he got those results doesnt mean they account for me, because, our room temprature is prolly diffrent...Our body heat it diffrent, the way air travels through our room is diffrent...Just, keep that in mind...
So he's going to do tests somewhat similar to yours, but at his house Then he's going to tell us all about how it turns out.
That should complement your report nicely.

When you say "swell" is that a positive or negative thing? Is it like a sarcastic way of saying something's good or is it sincere? I've never worked that Americanism out.

What would probably the ultimate proven and unfakeable psiwheel vid would be not just a psiwheel under a glass bowl, but maybe even one inside of a glass dome completely sealed?

Maybe even the most devoted skeptic would have to believe there's some merit in that kind of evidence.

Mixed, but much more positive than negative. Positive with a hedge or a reservation.
In this case, Tom did the work, the right work, and has based his current opinion on those facts he found. But as rebuttal specifically to H, the argument has a hole, as H pointed out.
Replication, which is what H proposes, is an ordinary part of scientific investigation.
Mathematicians, of all people, have a heuristic. If there is a flaw in your logic, then it lies in the step that is so obviously correct that you didn't bother to check it.
H has offered to check for us at his own expense. Good deal, I think.

It could easily be set up in a vacuum jar.

Swell, P.

Two problems. If H has a real vacuum jar at home (not one of those food storage things), then he's been holding out on us. And speaking of equipment at home, convection isn't the
only problem.
You've got a foil wheel. There are reports that these are especially susceptible to static electricity manipulation. Have you done anything to look into that?
(I have also thought about how a "treated" paper wheel could plausibly hold a stable static charge distributed over its surface. Exploiting that for motion would seem to call for some fancy manipulation, though.
A conductor, however, could respond dynamically to an external static charge which just might be varied without the "operator" intending to do so.)

Psiwheels.. Most who have used them will agree that they are somewhat useless.
Way too easy to affect by air and heat and putting it under glass doesnt work well since a hot light for example, can make small currents inside it and this move the thing.
What I would like to see is a proper made video showing PK on some other object like a pen or a glass.

Well yeah but for one, how much does a vacuum jar cost, and two, I guess i was thinking in terms of what would work for me and since i can only manipulate the air to move the psiwheel i couldn't do it in an airless vacuum. But the dome would keep all of the air still in a contained environment, proving that the movement's not coming from any other outside source.

We're at crossed purposes here. I'm not talking specifically about Heart again. I'm talking about the fact that anybody in the wide world of TK could go and do a great demo and set up a good experiment and it just isn't happening.
For now I'm perfectly happy with what Heartagram is doing. He's exploring the possibilities as best he can at home.

Very interesting read, this thread. Well, parts of it anyhow. Of course, other parts were like having the dentist scrape my gums.
I suppose if the subject here wants to attune his psychic ability to make little papers either move or don't move, that is his perogative. The skeptics will always be skeptical, the 'true believers' will continue to believe.
But, I also hope somewhere down the line, there isn't a moment of regret of all that wasted time fretting over whether or not it really moved. I also hope that in your mind you know the real truth (not the truth you want to believe, but the real one).
I don't understand the thought process to want to proof an ability with such a controversial test, but again, it's not my time that's being frittered away.

I would suggest a high correlation between having ready access to a vacuum jar and lack of interest in pinwheels

.
On the other matter, I bit the bullet and made an aluminum foil wheel to complement my paper one. I also made a static charge source (a plastic rod, the barrel of a pen in my case, and a soft cotton cloth or sock: "clean" the rod with the cloth, presto).
Wheels of both materials are markedly attracted to the charged rod, and I could not see any obvious difference between the two wheels' responses. I didn't do any systematic investigation, however.
The all-metal (that is, both pin and wheel) apparatus with an insulated base would open the door to controlling static effects, or to heightening them. It would be easy enough to solder a wire to the pin and run it to where it could be connected to a common ground with an electrode worn by the operator. Some precautions about charged clothing would still be needed.
To heighten the effects, skip the common ground and put the wheel at some potential difference to the operator instead.
Speaking of things that could be easily faked (or just wired up wrongly) in a video.

The bottom line is that I am annoyed by the gutlessness of the TK practitioners.
They won't put up a proper demo to back their claims. The truth is out there, either the ability exists or it does not. I want to know the truth. People claim to have this ability. The ability is easily demonstrable. They won't flaming well do it though and it drives me crazy!
I do not include Heartagram in this because he's not gutless at all, he's got a shedload of guts to take us all on and give us these videos to debate over. My debate with Heart is about the method he employs, not about his courage, his beliefs or anything else. He's the bravest I've found so far! I also find him honest.

Just for clarity, because this thread is unraveling a few pages, what has Heart agreed to do for the next video? I had an idea, but now there have been several pages concerning modified experiments. I'm wondering if he is actually willing to incorporate anything that has been discussed.

He has agreed to use the setup that I made and posted a picture of on page 2. Heart agrees to using this setup here -
http://www.unexplained-mysteries.com/forum...t&p=2199526And further agrees that half a rotation will count as one movement here -
http://www.unexplained-mysteries.com/forum...t&p=2201086And that the sequence will be -"left, right, left, left, right" here -
http://www.unexplained-mysteries.com/forum...t&p=2201072I have accepted this proposal and will have to reconsider my position on TK if he manages this. It'll certainly be the best and most ambitious demonstration so far.
