My group believes that "special" people who have gifts do have guardians who watch, guide, and protect them. The one who called me his butterfly was a guardian. I believe that even after his death he still watches and protects me. That he is still with me always. Maybe he is the "Guardian Angel".

i see colors around people and things if i look at them right. i have dreams of stuff that happens later on and i remember the dreams quite vividly when they come into play. i have a sense of how people are. i feel it more like emotional state. i think it has to do with the aura of people. i have to test out a theory about being able to manipulate my aura. get a few people to view it while I'm doing it. i can absorb feelings of the people around me and turn it into energy. i can direct it at a single target and if they are not protected drain them. <<i don't do this because it is very wrong and tends to make me have way too much energy and have someone else's feelings for a short time. i can do the knees over elbows handstand as well. and sensitive to paranormal stuff.

ok i didnt read all the pages so i'm going to make another post and say THANK YOU! i had no idea how to use my emotional draining. it just didnt occur to me to try taking out the pain from someone to make them feel better. can that go the other way too? like give them reassurance and calm feelings from yourself?

If you are an Empath then you are connecting on an emotional level, and sometimes a spiritual one as well. You most certainly can talk to them, and calm them down, because you are feeling what they are feeling. But not sure if you can instill your feelings onto them. I say just talk to them and validate their emotions and tell them its going to be "ok." JN

It DOES sound like you are seeing the auras of these people. A very difficult gift to use and also a trait of an empath. I can do it too, but I have become such a skilled empath that I rarely use this feature anymore. It has now become blended in as a regular part of my sight/vision. I do not even notice it unless I need to use it. I am sure you will start to notice as you learn more that some entities(and people) can be felt, while other can only be "seen" by their auras. Also, when I take pain, I replace it with some of my own happiness. Be careful that you are of a positive mind because you may be accidentally giving them the emotions you are feeling at that moment. You may also be somewhat telepathic if you are influencing their emotions. An empath can become depressed and bitter by doing what they do best. Do not let yourself burnout. I'm an empath (although not very strong), and I attract spirits of those who have passed on and need prayers to get to Heaven. I also attract other types of beings, namely demons, who don't like that God had His reasons to put me here on Earth. They would rather everyone be trapped between worlds than be a part of God's Army.

Thanks Moonchild for sharing. I am like a beacon too, and although I pray for these souls I have never had the ability or need to send them to the light, so to speak. IMO Where there is good there is evil, so when someone is "open" they are vulnerable to both. Demonics are out to destroy man in general, and are known to terrorize humans, and have huge egos, and even bigger agendas..JMO..JN

I am one of those people that cant sit still or get comfy just like you, so that is fine with me LOL...I can however meditate lightly to relax, but basically its based on relaxation of the body and mind. I am way too in control of my mind, to let anything else enter, and that is probably a good thing too LOL..JN

How can I find out if a spirit is trying to seek comfort from me? I do have times when I never find out who was in trouble. Do you think spirits might be trying to use me? Can any empath be sensitive to spirits? Also, on a personal note, "Butterfly Guy" also once described me as a beacon, that was his reason for protecting me, and ensuring that I always stay close to people who care abut me.

My sister and I both have many gifts/abilities. We're more adept in separate areas, but we find that we can do many different things. For a time these became uncontrollable, and unbearable, but we're slowly working on improving them.

We both can see auras and entities, however my sister sees them much clearer than I can- it's something that scared her for a long time until I told her that I was able to see them too. I realized she was much better at this since she was able to see them clear as day compared to me only seeing forms with colors. She's since helped me improve, though I'm still no where near as good at it as she is. We both try to help each other improve our skills in our abilities.

We also can channel, and this is where I'm more in tune. This has been both a gift and a burden. Channeling, I didn't just get a resident spirit or guardians, there were also spirits that wander that wanted to talk through me. We were also target to some very offensive entities; not limited to demons.

One of the better experiences was when I was at my friend's house and I brought my sister as well so we could all hang out with my sister and I doing "parlor tricks" in a way. My friend's dog was on one side of the room; her other dog's spirit was on the other (deceased for a few years now). I would get messages saying that the deceased dog wanted the other to get water or do something, and right after I said it the other dog would move to do just that. The two dogs were together for a very long time; my sister and I knew he could see her as well. He's not the kind of dog to listen to verbal commands from anyone but his owner, and even that's once in a blue moon (He's VERY lethargic). We had a bunch of other neat moments with our guardians and such, but there have also been some bad times (One of my friends attract negative entities without meaning to... I'm not going to share her story here).

We also are empaths... and this was very frustrating to us. My mother is someone who wants to protect, but also tries to be the martyr without realizing. We could feel when she felt depressed or angry, when she lied at her own expense, etc, etc. Things that were just routine before started to wash over like waves. I remember when she lied to us once and we both were almost crying. Our guardians were sad at the thought of a mother lying (very moral guardians) and their sorrow was washing over us. Another time my friend was exceptionally frustrated with someone and though she didn't show it, I had to back away. Her frustration was overwhelming to me and I couldn't be near her or I might have wanted to hit something. In fact when I tried to get near to ask how she was I started to want to hit my head in frustration. There are other experiences with this- it's not my favorite skill, but I think it's certainly has its uses.

I don't want to fill up a post with text bricks so I'll just mention those (we have many more, but it's a lot of text). My sister and I are healthy; we get regular checkups at the doctor (hurray insurance) and we have no health or mental health problems. We are the only two in our household of six that have these abilities. She and I correlate in a way. When we are near each other is when we are best at what we do and we can even exceed our own expectations.

There was a point where it became too overwhelming and so I sealed up myself and my sister. In other words, I blocked off our abilities (difficult to explain). It's only been recently that we've started to slowly reintroduce them into our lives.

I see (often) the spirits of those who moved on. I cannot hear them. I can also quite keenly pick up on the thoughts or feeling not expressed by people around me. My bf and I have engaged in many an argument for me finishing his sentances. He really hate it though I don't TRY to do it. My other friends are just wierded out by it. I believe that through the study of the craft and through meditation I have been able to teach my brain to read and pick up on things that others don't. I'd also like to add that i never saw spirits untill I was 13 and my grandmother passed. She was the first to visit me and believe me I freaked the **** out. Since then things have become drastically stronger, not nearly "6th since" stuff. But enough to drive me a little nuts some times. Hi again, YES Empaths can feel the same emotions as spirits and humans. If a spirit was around you, for example, and it made you sad, lost, and brought you to tears, then theres a good chance they are unhappy and need some kind of help. Many seem to use rituals to send them along, or to comfort them. For the most part, its never easy to find out who they are or exactly what they need. I go back to basics, and talk to them, tell them its okay, and pray with them, to go toward the light with their loved ones and not be afraid, its very simple actually..Im not really am Empath per say, but when I get poked, hear crying, or feel a presence in trouble, I talk to them like I would a human being, and it works for me, but I cant speak for everyone. Some spirits want to move on, some dont realize they are dead, and others come to you because they know, you know how they feel, and like they have found a friend. They dont use you, they sort of need you for a time for whatever reason. Many times its for a short period of time. The more you attract, the less protected you are. So if I were you, I would just tell them "its okay, dont cry (or whatever) its okay to go." Lastly prayer is what any spirit needs from any of us, and this counts for any denomination, and when you get that feeling, pray and see what happens. Empaths also have to shut it off as often as possible, because they drain your energy quickly..Hope that helped? JN

I guess I should try to be more specific LOL. OK, I will try to make this clear. I think the problem I am having is if a spirit is trying to get me to notice them, I am not aware of it. And maybe they will realize this and move on to find someone else? I get these "moments" that feel exactly like it is someone I know who is very close to me. But they are very sudden and fleeting. They leave as quickly as they arrive, sometimes so fast that I cannot even register the emotions. I do not associate the moments with any energy drain, but I know exactly what that feels like and how to stop/block/prevent it. I have a ring that "Butterfly Guy" gave me. I guess it acts like some kind of a spiritual shield because I feel completely safe from anything supernatural or paranormal when I wear it. To be completely honest, any time I think about him, my emotions are intensified ten-fold. He is all the motivation I need to do just about anything.

Even if a spirit is just trying to get you to notice it, even for a second, and it's not a comforting, warm feeling, like someone from Heaven holding you, then it's a spirit who needs your help to get to Heaven. They know that you have the ability to sense them, and are trying to get through to you so that you'll pray for them. If they're earthbound, tell them not to be afraid, that it's their time to go, and that they have to go to the light. Tell them that their family and friends are there waiting for them. Imagine a warm, bright light opening up and filling the entire area. Then ask God to send down His mother, Mary, His angels, or the family or friends of the spirit, to take the spirit to Heaven. Tell the spirit to take the hands of the angel or whoever God has sent to take the spirit to Heaven. Tell them that it may be a long dark pathway to get there, but they have to be brave and tell them to not let go of the angel's hand until they reach the light, where God, the spirit's family and friends, and all inhabitants of Heaven will be waiting to greet them with love. Being that you're an empath, you can follow them down that pathway, and leave them as they reach the light. Before doing this, though, you should say some protection prayers.

If the spirit is not earthbound, but has appeared on earth, that means that God has given the spirit permission to ask you for help, for your prayers. These spirits are caught in a place inside the Earth, in the purging, or cleansing, fire that is mentioned in the Bible, and it's what Catholics refer to as Purgatory. Spirits aren't allowed to enter Heaven with the stain of sin on them, so they have to go through Purgatory, where they are cleansed through fire.

YE-OUCH! It must have taken quite a bit to post all of that! Thanks for all your hard work! Although I am opened minded I am not a Christian. I do not know if these tracts would have the same affect for me. I do appreciate your thoughtfulness though.

I'm not sure that I have a gift beyond anyone as we I feel we are capable in this department to some degree. One of my main things though has always been premonition dreams. The only time I was able to correctly foretell anything that comes to pass in these dreams has been the death of a family member. I have had dreams several times and was sure that person was going to die and told other people three of those times and even had the day right once on one. I don't like it though to be honest. I have alot of other things that I guess some consider gifts mostly it all started after my NDE experience and from there certain things have escalated and I'm just supposing that that could be the trigger or the pinpoint for alot of it. I took some psychic test one time as kind of a joke thing it was for remote viewing because I think I wanted to convince myself I was being ridiculous but I passed it strangely enough and was able to detect things in pictures I had never seen just from four letter words which suprised even me.

You might give it a try and see what happens, if they stop bugging you. I have all of those prayers and prayer links in a couple of text files on my computer because of another board that I'm on where a lot of people ask for help with paranormal experiences, and I've dealt with it my entire life. The other board is the Penn State Paranormal Research Society Forum. Not the one from A&E, but the one actually run by PRS. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post the link, though. I know that on the PRS board it would be considered advertising for another forum, so I'm just going to assume the rules are the same here.

Thank you, I am not even sure if a spirit is case. That was my original question. When these episodes happen, I never have enough time to grasp a full concept of the situation before the feelings leave me. If anything I may even suggest that someone or something is actually tricking me to steal energy. It only happens when I am out of the house. Usually while at work or when I am alone.

I've been using a strategy of surrounding myself with positive emotions or "focusing on the good" and not the bad. I also find it helpful to "push" the situation back so I can lessen the load on my own emotions. Its hard to explain, but I clued into it a while back and its what has allowed me to function. I still burn out though, so I'll see if I can flip back through the topic and find where you discussed your strategies.

I know, from what I've read, I match almost completely up with amarali, except instead of being diagnosed with mental disorder of some kind I've been labelled with chronic pain that no one seems to be able to explain. Perhaps most of the burden has been redirecting on my body this way?

YES. Mental/emotional stress/strain CAN and WILL weaken your body without proper rest to compensate. I went through that too and I still do sometimes. Luckily for me, I knew EXACTLY what was happening (the cause of the pain) and why.

Hello again! This time I actually have a story about my Boyfriend. I have not know him long but in his case I now believe "love at first site" is possible. We have been together for two months, and I live with him. I had no other choice when my living arrangements "left without me". Anyways, three times in the past week alone he has had dreams with small snippets of the future. His friends say he has done this here and there most of his life and they never really made a big deal about it. It seems though, it has been happening more since I have been here. Also it has become more detailed/accurate. We went to the home of a friend for the first time on Saturday. When we pulled into the drive, Tony reminded we about a dream he had a few nights before. He had described that house to me, but he had never been there. Another night we were cruising and happened across a Harley Biker party at a local restaurant. We all converged on the same bike to drool. He got a bit weirded out as if he knew the bike. He said that bike was dangerous in a dream he had. We did not understand until the driver of that bike nearly collided with our car half an hour later on the open road. I went for a walk at twelve thirty tonight. I was at work until ten and I wanted to enjoy the full moon. He really worries about me and I just knew he would be laying awake waiting on me. But he wasn't. He wasn't in the room, and when he came back he asked if it was really me. I wondered what he was taking about. I had taken off my shirt and changed into some sleep shorts. BUT...
I believe my gift would be a little physic-ness, and the ability to sense things.
Not to mention I can drive out demons.
But that's not really a gift. (Well, a gift from God, but I know that's not what you're getting at.)
