Hi Jewels, I think its rather fun for the most part to sense a spirit and exactly where it is, just wish the camera would capture it LOL..Im a good listener too, and will talk to anyone LOL..Being a good listener has it advantages, because people tend to open up to me too, and oddly I care. But the disadvantage is, it can get draining after a time. I always thought it was because I was a middle child, and a Virgo, whatever thats worth lol. Yes to sense or see something that happens in the future, is certainly a gift. Do you try to change anything or just prepare for whatever it is? JN

I have a gift(s) that I cannot control. It’s like Prophesying and I used to always say, “I knew it was going happen” . A good example would be like when I say someone’s name, that person will show up or call. If I say something of an place or an event…something will happen there. I am more careful in what I say because I think I am telling the Future. Lynn, my wife, have seen my fluke predictions and she is sick of it lol, esp when I say..“I knew…” But I do find it is a good gift and everyone has it. I need to clear my head, something spiritually relaxing, and I might see future events more openly.
This other gift is disturbing and it rarely happens. It doesn’t bother me. Firstly , I don’t like pictures of family on walls. Never did. The reason that I don’t pictures on walls is because sometimes I will correctly guess that this person is dead. It must be the dullness..no “life” in the picture. When I ask who are these ppl are..some will tell a story and point out who is dead. I just listen, not saying anything..

I can change it. For instance, I feel something is going to drop on my head, I avoid the area. The thing drops anyway, but not on my head.

I'm here since i've been seeing and hearing ghost since i as 5 or 6. I also had premonitions in when i was 11 and 12 when i was asleep. Bad part of having premonitions when you are dreaming is if you are in the dream it self about to do something horrible, not knowing if it will come true.

Basically a few seconds before something bad happens (some type of bodily injury or preventable death), as long as I am in pretty close proximity to the person who it is about to happen to, I know what is going to happen.

Is this just me being very aware of my surrounding and seeing the possible danger before they do, or a psychic ability? I have no idea, but I tested it when it first started happening to make sure I wasnt just being over paranoid, or maybe to prove to myself that it wasnt real. I would see what was going to happen to someone and not say anything to stop it, or not phsyically stop it...and just like I "saw" it...that person would get injured/hurt. Obviously I'm not always near someone who is about to get hurt/injured/killed, but when I am I always stop it from happening....even if it is just in my head.

Thoughts? Psychic? Good Instincts? Above average awarness?

I have seen your screen name on many license plates ..WOW sounds to me as if you possess psychic abilities, and that is great because it's all to help others, or loved ones. I believe those are flashes of a premonition, and thank God you get them right before something happens as oppossed to days or weeks before. I believe it goes beyond awareness, one can be over average aware but not see things like you do. I dont believe its instinct either, because our instincts tell us something about people, places and sometimes our babies, but not about people close to us like that. I work as an care assistant in a Care Home part-time and I do have high exposure to deaths. I will know in freakish some way that this person had finally passed on after the person was dieing for days or hours Nights is scary because the wings or corridors are dark. I would walk down and check on the clients in their rooms to see if they are ok. Sometimes, when I walk into an room, it would be different and unpleasant, sometimes peaceful, and I will walk up to the clients to see if she/he is ok, but there is no one there. The feeling does change when I find out that they are indeed dead. I have posted some of my experiences working in a Care Home/Home-Care and Mental Health at the hospital at my city.
My experiences began on my first palliative care or hospice for an elderly man years ago-I was at his bedside when he died. Its not a nice sound…the Death rattle. I had heard it stopped, and there was a strange feeling that overwhelms the room. Its a sensation of energy that had suddenly left the room.
I did Palliative Care for sometime. I have met a lot of weird families. I have been called a few times 2 years ago, but I always turned them down. I don’t like doing Palliative care anymore. I hate the “look” of their eyes of some of them when they die..
Prophetic dreams are interesting. I have one, and its when u dream of water. I worry when I wake up after dreaming of a lake. It’s not a good Omen. If u dream of being inside a school, its good, eg: change of careers or new “positive” directions.

I totally agree. I believe that if one truly wants to see they will. Some see better than others and some see just enough to scare the hibee jibees out of you. LOL

I am a human EMF meter, I am a sensitive. I also beleive that everyone has it in them because it is animal instinct, (what I learned here... ) But I am very sensitive too energey. I have also had premonitions in my dreams.

WOW Now I undestand your sense of death. That is not an easy occupation. I was a nurse for 11 years, and during my training one poor lady was dying of Cancer, and was a DNR..I just held her hand, and wanted to cry but I told her its okay to go, but she was trying to tell me something, but I didnt understand her, which bothered me for months. But she did pass, and still grabbing my hand, but right as she passed and took her last breath she smiled. So I know what its like. I know all about the death rattle and the rallying, which tends to give the family false hope..You are a good man!! JN

I have discernment. I can tell if there is a spirit around. Evil or angel. ( may sound weak to many, but oh well. ) I also seem to have the gift of joy. Unless you understand Christianity, you probably won't understand this. I have had a multitude of people that will just call me and they end up saying at the end of the call, ( or visit) That I cheered them up so much, and thank you, and I was feeling hopeless, etc... Also that when they visited my house that they felt so peaceful with me. Even a few that said they were suicidal before they came to see me. I take no credit for this. I give the glory to God. I have had wicked depressed times, so I understand. I no longer get depressed, but I still understand it. This sounds dumb, but when playing roulette, I can call the right numbers for my friends but not usually for me! Oh well! I think I may have empathic abilities. I am able to pick up on others feelings very easily. Even when they are trying to hide them, I know what they are "feeling" Sometimes I cant tell if its my feeling or someone else’s. I can sometimes pick up feelings through objects that others have touched, or through emails or over the phone.

Its pretty strange sometimes.

Great, being and Empath has its advantages for sure. I can pick up on things sometimes, but not like you. I can read a person online or on the phone, but I am unable to feel what they feel if you know what I mean? JN

I think one of my gifts is Visions, it happens any time, any where...I also can sense when I meet people what kind of person they are. I just get really sensitive around people and places. I too can pick up certain things when someone has touch something, sometimes I even see their past, or the past of a family memeber.

the awareness of those "extra abilities" runs on both sides of my family, so when the ceepy things started happening, we all kind of knew what was going on. i have a few little talents, i jut sort of know things, that i'm not ment to..once my friend told me it was concidered cheating to pull the answers out of the teachers brain ( lol). and as an extention of that, i sometimes see little  future flashes, though nothing ever really  important.i must say though, being able to feel others emotions and  to some level, porogitive, thought and what kind of person they are is rather trying at a highschool.

all these to me are little sub divisions of my main extra ability.generally, i can "play" with energy. the best explaination i can give is that i'm  sort of acting as a conduit, and can use it to my advantage. my childhood house had a few spirits, none of them really did anything ( although one watched me in the bathroom once! )  but  i could always tell when they were, and their general direction, which is freaky for a 7 year old.. so i kind of started using a sheild thingy.. which i guess is a cosmic "do not disturb" sign. the sheild just looks to me like a built up of golden light.  it isn't all that fun, bacause i have to always stop myself from getting really emotional, because when i do the energy kind of goes out of control.if im really angery, it tends to go black and follow whoever i'm angry at.. last time the person fell down a set of stairs...and when i'm really really happy, the energy converges with me, and i end up  hyperactive.

i once lost my best friend at the time because she was scared of me. but i guess that just proves she wasnt a real friend.

it all sounds like the setting of a bad anime, doesnt it? but its non the less, true.

Not sure if I am gifted or not as I don't understand why I am the way I am, sometimes I just think I am crazy and am experiancing hallucinations. But I have a few issues of my own, I don't care to go into detail about anything as it would take me a few pages and also I don't feel comfortable about sharing too much, but one "issue" I have is that I can dream while still awake, Not normal dreams but I find myself in settings where I am among people doing everyday mundane things, occasionally these are people I know, but most times they are people who I have never met and I suspect that they are far away from where I reside. These visions never last more then a minute and are never very interesting, but I have actually learned things through picking up on their conversations. I can do this anytime i want with a little concentration and quiet time. Nothing significant has ever came of this but I do enjoy it as to me it is like meeting new people without actually having to meet them.

The other thing is I have always seen shadowy figures lurking about me, sometimes they are cats, they seem to disappear as soon as I see them and it always happens when I lest expect it and most commonly at night, one two occasions I seen these figures in great detail and could actually see their physical features, the first time Ill probably never speak of but the second time it was a man who was atleast 6 foot tall and wore a baseball cap and leather jacket. He walked into the livingroom looked at me and then went into the hallway and dissapeared into the master bedroom, He looked so real that I thought he was a real person so I followed him and when I went into the room he was gone so that was when I figured it out.

Another thing is on two occasions I heard things once as a teen I heard an evil sounding voice that simply screamed "answer" this happened at a place that I have dubbed "Hell's Gate" and the second occasion I was in my kitchen doing dishes one night and riht out of the blue there i swear it sounded like a wolf howling right in the kitchen with me. I just kind of stopped breathing at that moment and stood their and listened, it was a really long and low howl. I mentioned it to my mother the next day and she said that happened to her on a few occasions and she believed it to be an omen of some sort, I tried looking it up and haven't came across anything yet.

I am gifted with ignorance....blissfully sweet ignorance

don't know if it is a "gift", but empathy and precognition are two of my traits. I think of them as traits, just as my black hair and brown eyes. . . they are however, underdeveloped, by choice. I work in a hospital, and I would go crazy if I let things get to me. . . my instructors used to say that I have an "uncanny ability to make people trust me" whatever that means. . . as a child it freaked my mother out, to the point that she burned several of the books I was reading on esp and precognition!

I am here to learn and keep perspective (the sceptics do a good job of helping me keep it real) and get an idea of just how "weird" I really am, and compared to some, I am not strange at all!

As with the above poster i consider them traits. When it comes to personality im an INFJ according to the myers briggs personality test, and those traits tend to be common amongst INFJs apparently.

Hi there! I'm new here and thought I'd say something...Hmm..I have been psychic all my life. I have seen things and I have heard things and I have trained my self to go into trance--I have done channeling, mediumistic things etc..I have also been a ghost hunter, and have also worked as a psychic. When I was a kid I saw metallic orbs, then later I was able to take photos of them..I have quite a collection of ghostly photos..
About a year ago I started studying the CCC (Catechism of the Catholic Church) I was raised lutheran, so catholicism was new to me. Well as I fell in love with catholicism my experiences changed and.. my ..hmm friendly spirit guides changed.. They weren't friendly and beautiful anymore, but frightening and aggressive. Their only goal seemed to be to make me go crazy and to make me forget about joining the catholic church. It's scary to think that these beautiful things and visions were in fact demonic, but that is the case! You know, I believe that demons try to convince us that we have some kind of special powers, but I believe that only God has special powers. Well of course we all have special gifts--Some people can sing, others are good writers, some people are good with animals and so on. I also believe that we are all psychic--to a degree, for example; a mother knows when her child is not feeling well and a wife can sense her husbands feelings.. I don´t think I'm special..I was made to believe I was special, but it was all a demonic lie. How do I know that?? Because the demons revealed themselves when I studied the CCC--they revealed their true identity. Two years ago I would have said that my special power is my empathy, my ability to sense things and my psychic gifts..TODAY I say my special power is horse whispering, horses are COOL! HAH! Way cooler than demons!

There are many ways at looking at gifts/powers. The same way as there are many ways of interpreting the word of God assuming he did actualy speak. The ideal of the Catholic Church is a good and just one however note I do not say Roman Catholic Church. As I have said before many of the Churches especialy the larger Churches are corrupt. No disrespect to the lowly followers of the Church many of whom are beyond reproach and good people who God will bless and with no thanks to the Church for exploiting thier kind nature. many of the "Rules" laid down by the churches are not the word of God but the word of man. Men who overcomplicate the interpretations of the bible to thier own end. I would very much like to go to church but I can not follow an organisation that is corrupt. The Cathlolic Church would say I was possesed by Demons, coming from a corrupt organisation that is a somewhat quaint suggestion. To believe in God and be with God there is no rule that says you have to be a member of a Church.

I have no spirit guides although I had a "Guardian" of some sorts when I was young. I would call myself a Christian to some extent but my beliefs are beyond that which the Church can offer. I can know and do things that make me think I must be a bit mad but they seem to work. I don't ask for the help of other beings as I well know they could be Demons or at least entities sent to confuse. I never do harm to others. Well what do I think I can do....

I am empathic so much so that I am scared to tell people that I know what they are thinking 1. in case I am wrong and look an idiot 2. in case I am right and scare them. My Son hates it and will not talk to me directly because I almost always know he is lying, he will also rarely look me in the eyes.
I randomly just know stuff I should not know and sometimes I don't
I can banish Demons and spirits.
I can counter evil magics either that or magic just doesn't work which means my Mum was never ill but she was.
I can feel spirits especialy when the Holy Spirit is concentrated in a place or person, I use the word concentrated because the Holy Spirit is everywhere its full attention however is not.
People are freaked out by me for no reason even though I rarely mention any of my "Abilities" to anyone except my wife.
I can feel and move spiritual energy and use it for healing and apply it in martial arts.
I also get glimpses of my surroundings and a keen sense of danger sometimes hourse before an event.
When I see people I sometimes get what I call an "Event moment" where I know that person is a key part of my life even though I don't know them and may just see them walking by in the street.

There are a few more but I think to add to the list would just make y'all think I was comletely bonkers I am sure anyone can do any of the above but are maybe too afraid to tell anyone.

My gift is being me. Remaining an individual despite the pressure to conform and the ability to think for myself.
