[size="4"][/size]I'm new here and still getting used to this sight. I was just wondering if anybody here has ever actually "hunted" a monster before? I know right about now your rolling your eyes and thinking I'm crazy but I'm just wondering. I was just hoping there were others out there like me. Not just people who try to record them on film but actually get rid of them. You know like that show Supernatural. Just wondering.

Welcome to U-M, bloodavenger. Here in the great plains of the heartland of the USA, nary a monster to be found, sadly. I'm interested in the subject, but haven't the likely subjects, locally, to qualify. An occasional mountain lion, but that's all.

Well A.O.B what exactly do you hunt

I am planning to raise money for my mammoth research (See my Mammoth topic for more details) but I don't intend to actually hunt one, as I am doubtful of their continued existence.

On a more optimistic note, when I leave school I plan to travel New Zealand and "hunt" for the following -

-The Canterbury Panther
-The Waitoreke
-The Moa
-The Hairy Moehau



Assuming I pass NCEA of course, and get a reasonable paying job.

I know you all think I'm some imature kid but it's true. I take a very precise and logical view on things when I hunt. I "hunt" things like skinwalkers,werewolves,wendigo, black eyed people, and the ussual unhappy creatures. There are actually lots of "monsters" in america you just need to know where to look. I don't bother with things like bigfoot or the sea monsters as they're not hurting anybody as far as I can tell. I also know that the show Supernatural is totaly bullcrap (its still a decent show though).

As a kid, with limited resources, how would your realistically hunt these supposed monsters???

I live in the UK and go to Bodmin about 4 times a year, when I am down there I go searching the moors looking for evidence of a big cat. (Thats like the only cryptid in England) But I wont travel abroad for it for at least another 10 years, its just not realistic!

Have you ever come across any of the above monsters? If so have you ever killed any?

Its not as easy as typing something in and find it, it takes a lot of work you have to dig through stuff constantly and ussually its either fake or a dead end.

I'm seventeen do ya think I have a lot of free time on my hands. I'm still "training" but this summer I've made plans to go to wisconsin to "get rid of" some werewolves.

Fine, I'll answer what I'm capable of. You can call me Ronin or whatever, but I hunted cryptids, at least for their facts. I went for a search for Ahool and Ropen, and was being laughed at by the locals. I've shared my story too, try search for "Ropen". I also once being dispatched in a mission from the local Red Cross to aid people on them ountain to defend themselves from the attacks of a pack of wolf-dog hybrids. Try search the forum for the world "Grandong". I went there with several army men and cops.

Currently I'm hunting werewolves, or at least people who pretends they're werewolf, lycans or whachamacallit.

My daily profession also require me to hunt for facts and evil criminals or twisted corporate monsters. I'm a lawyer, actually.

What happens if you kill a werewolf and it changes back to its human form before the cops get there? How would you convince the police that it was a werewolf when you killed it?

What tools and weapons will you employ against the werewolves?

Is there a specific hot spot of werewolf activity in Wisconsin? If so why?

You sure, foreign travel is generally cheap than travel with in the UK.

Avanger, If I may offer some advice, please reconsider. Assuming you misidentify your target, you would be assaulting a human being, or an endangered species (or are they protected now?). If you are correct, you are still talking about assaulting an intelligent and endangered species, whose guilt you would asses by what? their appearance is threatening?

By all means, please continue your research, and train as you like. But do refrain from aggression. Prehaps if you sought to be a sort of guardian, to protect people, rather than attacking creatures and/or people who may or may not be a threat.

I'm not the one hunting monsters, so don't tell me to get real.

What is wrong with asking a few questions? I'm curious as to why this kid wants to hunt monsters.

Do you, by any chance, wants a sidekick? I can provide you with some. I know some very good assistant in the US. They've been hunting Bigfoot foor some time, and haven't found any! They're good because they need to know their target accurately, not jumping into quick conclusions. Cheap and no-good sidekicks won't even know where to start
searching!

I have no master. I'm pretty much self taught. The closest thing I have to a master is my Tae Kwon Do instructor and I don't think she knows what I do. I think I'm good with out the side kick to I kinda go solo.

I don't mind thanks for asking. I am solo in this(mostly because not to many people are into it). I train by practicing things like tracking, gun usage, and varius other military stuff. Killing a werewolf isn't hard anybody could do it. Werewolves are just creatures who aren't human kinda like bigfoot exept wereolves will kill people. There was a special on them one the history channel called werewolves in wisconsin. To hunt "monsters" I use guns, knives all the basic stuff. I learned how to make explosives too( just in case you never know when you might need to blow something up). In wisconsin they seem as far as I can tell be around the middle, though some towns have a lareg amount of sightings.

I really take care when I do this. I make sure what I hunt is what I'm after. I only do this because I'm good at it. I really don't care about anything like S.A.T's. I know this sounds imiture and stupid but they bore me. For some reason I'm better at this. Besides I have an actual carrer in addition to this.

Obviously the highschool testing and education is boring, I've never met a kid who told me it was fascinating. I'd like to be an artist or writer as I get older, but I need back-up plans in case those fail (we all know that those careers are never guranteed to work...). Especially with your 'career' - as it's going now - needs to have some sort of replacement...

Everyone makes mistakes but this is a really brilliant forum you can learn quite a bit and theres no need to lie to get attenion read the topic understand it and then just give your honest opinion
