....in my opinion of course. Seriously though, to those of you who play Halo 3 and Gears, which has better graphics/ is funner/ least annoying?

Does this really need to be a topic?
They're both horrendously overrated games, anyway.

There have way too different graphics and gameplay to really be compared. Though if I could only have one it'd be Halo 3, thanks to Forge/Films and stuff.

Yes indeed this must be a topic.
I like the customizable-ness of Halo but it gets cheap, since players in a forged map are subject to the inventions of the map maker. Which is annoying. Encircling spawn points with active camouflage, putting EVERY WEAPON in ONE PLACE and.....yeah.
Heck maybe I'm just biased because of all the annoying children that play and scream at eachother online. (Definitely turned me off the game last time I checked...)

I play GoW, but never play it online (I play campaign only).
Graphics? Well, it's good I guess, but I don't care graphics that much.

Neither are any good, I'm very happy with my copy of Resistance: Fall Of Man which I bought after selling my 360 because I got tired of it breaking.
If I had to pick, Halo.

because there games that have different game play and graphics you CAN compare them.
Halo Is a run and gun game gears of war is a strategic duck and cover game.
which do you like more running around and hoping you are faster then the other guy or hoping you can take better cover and flank you're enemy?
I would go for duck and cover its more in theam with real life.

Single player, I would pick Halo... as I found it more entertaining as it has more range to what you need to do.
Multiplayer (co-op) It would be a harder choice, I have enjoyed playnig both this way.
Mulitplayer maps.... well, I think Halo takes some beating in that regard.

As an online game I like Halo better. For some reason I keep getting booted out of games in GoW. Dont know why.
The different maps for Halo are awesome, yeah the screaming 12 year olds get annoying as hell, but hey thats what mute is for.
I liked playing GoW on co-op it was way more interesting, and I've finished it quite a few times on every difficulty, Halo is not so interesting to play over again.
Still they are both 2 good games if you want to kill lots of stuff.

I suppose I'm more of a tactical player, I like forming up and flanking the sh!t out of the opposition...lots of fun. Halo also turns me off because it simply doesn't feel real to me (games I consider excellent are ones I can 'get into'. Call of Duty 4 is a great example, I could play it for eternity.

).
Halo seems mostly spastic gameplay where you shoot anything that moves, no tactics or intelligence involved that I saw =_=
I like the weapons though, they're pretty original.

I found the controls on GoW rather sluggish and i hope they improve that in GoW 2, but now onto the topic. I would take Halo 3 for a "I'm bored i need somethings to play" kind of game simply because of the massive weapon choice and the newer, more destroy-able environment. GoW gets my vote for a game i want to site down and have a challenge with, something i can take a few hours on and still feel sastisfied at the end. So now you have my opinion, take it and do with it what you will.

I think Gears is way better. Halo is still good. Halo 3 wasn't a good sequel though.

I like gears,I like its storyline. But i hate the takeing cover option,I wish it wasn't in the game because its not hard to camp and wait for a dude to walk into your cross hair and shoot.I only like halo better because of its multi player, weapons, and the way it plays.I really don't like its stoyline,And only one of the books actully made me think the story was ok.

Never really got into GoW much, finished the game, played a few games of multiplayer and that was it. Halo 3...well I started playing when Halo 1, 2 were out for the Xbox and there wasn't really anything terribly exciting but the single player which still wasnt real original from the first 2. Multiplayer is fine but what really pisses me off are those insane people that play one game for 10 hours straight every single day... I mean come on get a life, lol, ESPECIALLY in first person shooters. Anyway, Halo 3 was fun but the biggest complaint for me had to be your shield, in which you lost after one major battle with another player then someone could easily come up behind you, shoot you once and die. Major reason why I quit, plus I actually logged in today for a quick game to see if anything changed. Well my first game I saw a dude with over 800 freaking games!!!!!! I laughed my ass off and immediately tossed the game back into the case.

I have played the game and it was entertaining, but the multiplayer, let's face it, sucks.
when i dig that game out of its crater in the far corner of my room and put it back together then i might be game for another round.
until then, to hell with it.
