I just wanted to share with some of the people here something you may be interested in.

I work as a Subsea Inspection Engineer, which involves underwater inspection carried out by ROV.

The ROV - Remotely Operated Vehicle is a small controllable underwater vehicle for camera and various probes.

On the ROV is a low level light camera for use in navigation underwater in poor lighting.

When the ROV is placed on the seabed with all the lights off it causes the camera to feedback due to the lack of any light.
This causes floating "orbs" as seen on the ghost hunter style programs that are shown.

The makers of these programs are decieving people, as there is no such thing as ghosts.

I agree.
Only believe half of what you see and none of what you hear.

I wouldn't have such a closed mind Jeep, there is no proof of ghosts, true but there is no evidence against it either, just watch a few episodes of most haunted, it may change your mind. It certainly opened me up to the paranormal in ways I never thought possible.

The fact it is on living TV should say something about the quality of the program.
It is farce, a pantomime with no substance.

if someone claims to have seen a ghost they are just making it up to get attention.
Its pathetic.

I haven't seen a ghost but I been seeing a medium who has told me things that are not lies, letting me communicate with my deceased family member. You can't say that's rubbish, when she knows intimate details, like what was my favorite evening meal, my favorite colour etc, she even knew how many sugars I put in my coffee.

Google cold reading.
I hope you havent given them any money.
You seem to me to be quite trusting arent you?

People like that make money out of susceptable people, that have lost someone and deary want to have some last conact with their loved ones.
They are parasites, bloodsucking vampires that prey on the weak.

Just my humble opinion of course.

I agree with you on Most Haunted and programs such as that, but i think you're being unfair when you make broad sweeping statements about anyone claiming to see a ghost. I've never seen one myself but i wouldn't claim that no one ever has....it remains to be proved one way or the other but there's certainly lots of evidence from the most credible of people.I'm sure a lot of people who claim to have seen ghosts would rather not have seen whatever they saw.
Can you provide us with some examples of how the ROV shows floating orbs ?.Many many nurses , doctors and Hospice workers will tell you that it's common for them to see strange visions when patients are dying or near death...so while i'm still not fully convinced myself i am open to the possibility.
I'ts one of those things where statements like yours can only be an opinion and nothing more.
Also as evidence of Ghosts go Orbs would be pretty low down the list , even to the most die hard believers so i dont really see any real substance to your argument....
I was reading this earlier

Some of the scientific community going on reaocrd with what they've seen......do you completely write all this evidence off?

Most Haunted has plenty of fakery. If you Youtube it with the word "fake" or "fakery" there are is footage where people on the show have been caught throwing things, touching people in the dark to make them think they've been touched by spirits, and also lying about things.

It's that show on Dicovery channel, right? I thought it was just anecdotes about the paranormal played out by really horrible actors. Not exactly evidence of anything except Discovery channel is desperate for programming. Maybe I'm thinking of a different show....
