This is interesting.
I live in Arizona, and my family and I have been experiancing rumblings also at night.
Sometimes they're soft and you just hear the rumble sound, and other times you can actually feel the house tremble.
We live near a military training base, so we just assume that it's some sort of quiet plane coming in at night, but it's just strange.
Maybe it's seismic?
It would be interesting to see if there are common fault lines going through Arizona and Idaho, or maybe the volcanos up on the Pacific coast are acting up a bit and it's causing tremors there?
It's really neat to see this though, I read the article and it was just exactly what is happening down here.
Hopefully someone will find something to explain it.
Thanks for sharing it.

Wow...
I am really creeped out now...
My bets are on some type of plane as we have an Air-Force base close by. Maybe the new plane is way fast and flying between the bases? Who knows...

At first I thought it might be some kind of a "baked potatoe" fight, but nahhh..Seriously, I live between two military bases and every so often, we get the rumbling, and always at the same time in the evening...Also on every Wednesday night, we have dozens of planes flying back and forth at night, as if they were in some kind of training...We never got any straight answers on what was going on and stopped asking....Annoying though...By the way datamonkey, welcome to UM.....

as you live near air bases i'd have to go with planes myself. though if you can feel the shaking it'd have to be a bloody big plane! unless they're testing new technology maybe so that you get a rumble instead of hte screaming jets you usually would

strange rumblings is nothing to get worked up about especially if theres a logical reasoning behind it
