Hey
I´ve been wanting to do a cryptozoology expidition for some time now.
But i don´t wanna do it alone, so therefore i seek anyone that might be intrested to join me.
I have two suggested expiditions that in my mind have the most chance of turning up some real evidence.
1: Search for Bigfoot in the USA
2: Serach for El Chupacabra in Puerto Rico
These to cryptos have many eyewitnesses and does not requiare any expencive equipment to search for, compared
to the search of sea serpents that would requiare a boat and sonar equipment (unless you want to sit on the shore)
Ps: My english is a bit rusty

How rich are you exactly? Expeditions are just as expensive on land or sea. You need equipment if you are going to be 'stalking out' creatures and such. Not trying to put a downer on it but you have to think realistically. I would personally love to be involved in something like that, but if it was that easy, we'd all be doing it and have no time to be on forums talking about it

I'd like to do it but there is all kinds of equipment you need and money. Listening devices and cameras food, water you should know a bit about the outdoors. You don't want to pitch a camp site up on an animal game trail and have beers hanging out in your camp all night. If you're going to go looking for animals in other countries you need passports, possible the permission of the government and locals. You can't just go wandering around in certain places you'll get killed.

I´m well aware that it will be expensive. I do have a lot of money saved (about 34.000 dollars) and an expedition does not have to be all that expensive. Any one else that wants to join do have to pay their own travel expenses. But i have the money requierd for buying cameras and such.
It will be an amateur expedition yes, but who says you have to have the latest technical equipment to spot something and get it on camera?
You got to start somewhere

well I wouldn't mind camping with lots of beers that for sure (bears on the other hand lol)
but yeah I would love to go on a Search for Bigfoot or any other cryptid (you should do a bigfoot expedition in Canada, we also have black Panther sightings and other large cats that are pretty reclusive)

I live near Bodmin moor, I wonder if I should camp out there and stalk the 'beast of bodmin moor' for a few days. Not sure if it's legal to camp on the moors or not though =/

That would not cover 2 expeditions and all the equipment and lab work needed. You'll need at least US$1000000.
You'll also need permissions from the FWC or National Parks Service.

34000 you need 10000 at least to buy a thermal very useful in expedition

not sure look it up online, I know Bigfoot has been sighted out there in the last few years (and in Ontario last year I think)
as far as the big cat comment I am sure there are all types of mountain lions out there, but when I was talking about Black Panthers I was reffering to Atlantic Canada

I would love to go on an expedition with you, but i'm not sure my mother would allow me to go camping with some stranger. I want to look for the Jersey devil.

There are probably places you could hire NVG's and other stuff (like tents and such). Being America, my first suggestion would be to go to a hunting shop and ask for advice on tracking gear.

And other such things as well, like camo hides, defence, traps etc!
