It Doesn't happen that often because when it does i get scared and i hate it when it happens and im alone, Before i go to sleep i sometimes start to feel wierd like i have the option to wake up or not and i feel like im falling really fast off of like some roller coaster ride, all while im laying down then i start to hear voices sometimes it's like a radio with a volume like it's all soft at first like whispers and it's not scary it's just like normal people talking like a school cafeteria or like someone left the t.v on a talk show. i cant really understand what they are sayignbecause there's so many and besides talking all at the same time they also are kinda whispering it and i was always afraid untill recently i've gotten intrested in it. And last time it was a really creepy
once i was asleep yet i was awake also i could move and tell i was awake i start to hear the voices and i see this old lady like if im dreaming but i know im not its hard to explain, but yes my eyes are close and im aware of everything thats happening around me, i saw this old women with no eyes no teeth, but really wrinkly with long white hair and she looked like indian and this young women all the sudden i was somewhere like in their surounding and i could hear her telling the girl to look for the answer in my forhead? and she told me to look in the mirror then the volume went up again and they faded and i head a many voices again. that one was creepy, but i wanst that afraid, i liked the feeling i got in between.
today it happneed again in school i asked to lay down at the nurse and i was beggining to fall asleep and i start to hear voices, but since i knew i wasnt alone i decided to go through it all and i start to hear everything, the nurse that i couldnt hear talking on the phone form far away all the sudden i could hear her haviung the convo in my ear and then all the voices come i keep hearing this guy in particular out of everyone and talking in english i just cant concentrate on what he's saying, but i i guess i can hear everythign around me louder yet not concentrate to understand, then i have that feeling like im falling deep and i liked it. something about it made me feel good like this wierd rush! and then i saw blackish red and then i start to see this little boy and his mom around xmas time cus they have red sweaters and i know what they look like still in my head he looks about 7 or 8 she's happy with him i cant hear what they are saying because im stil listening to all the voices, then it's like im somewhere else like i was tying to see them, but i was like covered in something and had to peak to see them its wierd then i opened my eyes and i want it to happen again and it did, but not all the way this time i still hear that one guy talking. maybe im going crazy i've had this since i was little though, but i never listen cus i was afraid because of that feeling i got whnever i was letting it go through all the way its horrible like i feel fear and a rush of falling with the biggest fear ever, but i actually liked the feeling today it felt like it always does i just invited it though, idk maybe im crazy, but does this happen to anyone else? i dont get it anywhere else, but before i go to sleep thats the only time. and well i finaly faced my fear today and it's what i got. any advice or go ahead and spill it out all your thoughts good or bad..

This is perfectly normal. It's often just memories or your imagination.
It's like when I watch a movie, I still remember the sounds a week later and can "hear" them. But it's just your memory/imagination.

Possibly speakers. It's a phenomenon well tolerated these days. So many demand Remote and the control and ability of, thereof.
With so much put in the Eyes via conversation, they need there own little corner. First speculation. Filters applied, and a little rigging, try this:
Those sound manipulation devices can be pulled. Noise canceling is a technology. Given proper power, and direction, apply your own NULL. To test this...

Don't be scared, it's perfectly normal, it happens to me too, I also sometimes hear music just before I dose off. During these events the brain and body are getting ready to rest, this is a moment of max relaxation so the brain loses control of the imagination and memory, and so as a consequence, it is produced.
You can't wake up again for the same reason, it's like when you send your PC to shut down, the shut down process cannot be reversed.

I went through a very similer experiance, I thought I was losing it. It would sound like a radio news show turned down low. . .
Now I just bid it off to Lucid Dreaming ... it was either that or I was losing my mind. . .

Lucid dreaming is when you actually have controll of yourself while dreaming.

I think you would like someone to say that you are psychicaly gifted and that the old indian woman is your spirit guide come to help you develop your new found super powers ...... but sadly the truth is you are in a Hypnogogic State.
A hypnogogic state occurs at the boundary between sleep and wakefulness. In this state, hypnogogic dreams may be experienced, which are quite unlike ordinary dreams. During these dreams, realistic images and sounds may be experienced - a common phenomenon is of hearing one's name called, also commonly reported is hearing the sound of the television, but upon arising from bed and investigating, there is no television on, it was a hypnogogic hallucination. Form constants are often seen - these are geometric images produced by the visual system rather than by any external stimuli. If this phenomenon occurs during a microsleep, the imagery may be confused with perceptions of the external world.
It's most Commonly but not exclusivley experienced after playing computer games just before sleep

sometimes you can hear just the smallest thing, and make believe in your mind it's something else.why do'nt you set out a tape recorder before you go to sleep and listen to it and see if you are really hearing something???

For some reason I remember something like that happening to me. I could hear all these lasers and stuff after playing total anihilation for like 10 hours. Wow I am such a gangster.

Some have a twisted sense of humor, and might find enjoyment seeing reaction to something awkward and out of the ordinary.
It's just something to consider, what with X10 cameras, and so much remote equipment these days.
If you feel you want to check this out, listen for subtle clues. Hisses, power spikes that cause clicks, ambient background noise you know is not present in your environment, etc.
May not be the case, but I've been heckled this way, first way back in 1987 by a guy I couldn't stand in high school. His name was Bart, and I recognized his voice when he got carried away and didn't conceal his identity. He found great amusement in driving someone crazy. We had a falling out, and after about 2 weeks of this, he ceased...

Whoa! i've only managed to play TA for about 8 hours Before, I couldn't hear anything like that afterwards.
In relation to hearing voices, I hear them quite often, but i never pick up what they're saying, and i believe they're harmless if they exist at all.

no it is not a curse you are just re living/ remembering things you have seen or heard... if you get freaked then try writing what the voices say down the rereading them to make sense of the mesage...

I used to hear voices in my head at night whiling attempting to sleep. They'd just bicker and what not, occasionally , I think they were speaking to me...but when I responded they didn't say anything. The voices would stop and I'd go about my sleep cycle. I've stopped hearing them though. Thought I was loopy for a while.

I've had this happen to me when I've stayed up all night on the computer (usually just to read stuff on the UM site, ha). Anyway, I'm pretty tired, and I swear I can hear the tv playing downstairs in my brother's bedroom but I can't make out what's being said. So I go downstairs to turn the tv off but my brother's room is perfectly quiet and there's no tv on. This happens alot if I've stayed up really late.
As for the rollercoaster effect (was it rollercoasters? I don't have your post in front of me), anyway, I also get that feeling when I've stayed up late and am really tired. I lie down and it feels like I'm on a boat that's rocking back and forth.

I read your post but I have not read the replies so excuse me if this has been said before. What you are expriencing is normal. Many people experience the same thing when entering or exiting the sleep state. Often this type of thing is associated with your environment. Having a traumatic experience or even living in an "unsafe" neighborhood" is enough to trigger what you are experiencing . The important thing, is you are not "crazy" or going crazy. That being said, making an effort to reduce the level of anxiety you have may help. Maybe, try doing a search on Google for relaxation techniques and find some that you like. Practice them for a couple weeks and see if they help. Also, you can talk with you school psychologist. I'm not qualified to offer medical advice and please don't consider this as such.
