We have a planet called Uranus in our solar system already... how about if we call our planet Heranus?

I like earth, to aliens itr will sound exotic, like, zeta reticuli, and if you really don't like the name just call it Terra.

isnt "earth" latin for land or something like that?
if that is so earth should be renamed to latin word of life.

"Earth" sounds the best since we have used that name all our lives.

i was actually thinking about this a few weeks ago. im like...who came up with the name for the planet we live on? like we didnt call it Rock or Home or something like that. but i think Earth fits well, you cant compare the name to anything else you know, kinda like God, but i bet alot of different cultures have different name for the planet.

Mercury is named after the Roman god of messengers because it goes around the Sun so quickly.
Venus is named after the Roman goddess of live and beauty because it looks so nice.
Jupiter is named after the Roman King of the Gods because it's the biggest.
Uranus is named after the Roman god of the sky because it's so far away.
Why don't we rename Earth after the Roman goddess of the Earth and nature, Gaia
