The title pretty much explains it so....what's the worst song you have ever heard? You may list more than one song!
My worst song would probably be:
Umbrella by Rihanna (But I like some covers)
So...yeah. Please respond!!!
Gemma's Chemical Romance

I don't think Umbrella is a bad song. A big part of the song is the lyrics for me and I think Umbrella has great lyrics.
Worst song I've ever heard? Beautiful Girls by Sean Kingston.

Oh my god, I agree. Pretty much anything by Buckcherry, actually. I saw them at Download festival and they were awful.

Summer of '69, Bryan Adams (pretty much anything by Bryan Adams)
Hearing anything by Bryan Adams in my car makes me want to jump out of the car doing 70mph down the freeway.

Beside you in time by Nine Inch Nails.
I mean really, it's painful.
It seriously gives me a headache whenever I listen to it.
The song is just some kind of crazy psychedelic sound with the guy singing, but it's not music, it's sound.
Painful sound.

Hmm..that's a very good point. Okay, I take it back. The worst song I have ever heard would be...............um........I don't really know. But I shall figure it out! But I really dislike the current idea of "rap". And R & B....

Right Said Fred are the best. They have spawned TONS of smart-clever one liners like.
"I'm too sexy for this argument."
"I'm too sexy for this long term relationship."
"I'm too sexy for this MRI machine."

Right Said Fred is HILARIOUS... their songs aren't good... but they aren't suppose to be so they don't count. LOL

I agree with some of that list, but why the hell does it bash the Sounds of Silence by Simon and Garfunkel and The End by the Doors. Being pretentious doesn't mean it's bad. If we discounted music because it was pretentious we'd never listen to Jazz or Rock.
Easily the worst song I've ever heard is Crank Dat by Soulja Boy. If anything has done more damage the intellectual and artistic legacy of Hip Hop it's this song I havent heard it.

er i forgot to add mmbop , really hanson ? first single and alot of people bought it? just odd and not to mention just an awful song.
MissMelsWell
Mar 30 2008, 09:23 PM
LOL, I'd call MmmBop a Guilty Pleasure song. Dont' get me wrong, it's NOT a good song, but it IS catchy. It's incredibly hard to write a catchy song. It's one of those songs that totally cracks you up when you hear it, kinda like Right Said Fred's stuff, but for a different reason.
Of course it all comes down to personal taste, but I consider anything eggregiously bad which has no catch, no tone, no creativity, boring transitions, and boring or trite lyrics. Bad songs are boring songs in my opinion.
Now, don't get me wrong, I like some .38 Speical songs, but I think their huge hit Hold on Loosely is one of the worst songs to ever have torn up the airwaves. It makes me want to stuff forks in my eyes. A lot of people would disagree with me though. LOL. It's still not as bad as Braying Adams though. LOL.

Actually, I think Boys of Summer, Roxanne, Hold on Loosely (.38 Special) and Summer of 69 makes my top 5 of all time worst. I like Don Henely in general, but you're right, Boys of Summer makes me want to drive kitchen utensils into my eye sockets. blech... I haven't decided what #5 is yet.

The worst song I have ever heard is virtually ANY SONG BY DIR EN GREY PAST THEIR "Withering to death" ALBUM!
Their progressive worsening with every new album was quite a feat.
Quick edit: I am also disgusted by all things under the Rap and Country genres, and pretty much everything on MTV and the radio in America.
