Long time ago my cousin told me this story about this place in down by tombstone arizona...If there's anyone from that area on these boards let me know if this story rings any bells...
In 1901 a man from New Orleans by the name of Raceme Rosinturn was killed on a railroad. They thought he was practicing voodoo rituals on the local people so they drug him out onto the railway and shot him 7 times. They left him to die from his wounds or get struck down by the train.
Well a few days later, no trains reported hitting him so they did a search party and couldn't find any sign of him for miles.
Then reports started coming up that a lot of graves were being dug up and the bodies were gone with 'em. Not the usual grave robbing style. A lot of the locals thought it was Raceme practicing his voodoo from beyond the grave. The people started refering to him as "The Resurrection Man", they thought he was stealing and devouring the living and dead to make his voodoo stronger.....As time went on people started calling him "The Forever Man", it seems like he'd been around forever by 1978 when a few teens suddenly disappeared after a night of camping down tombstone. Then the rumors of Raceme "The Forever Man" started coming back into focus and rumors spread like wild fire that these kids were now gone due to Raceme's voodoo...The legend goes that people every so often stumble upon where he died and he punishes them unjusticely, he's not prejudice in his killings. Anyone will die.
Then my cousin showed me a picture of like an underpass, supposedly right by where this guy died and spray painted on the wall it said....
...I don't know what language that is or if it even has anything to do with the story...
I've looked up teen disappearances and obituaries from the late 70's and there are a lot, but since there are no names or exact ages I couldn't find anything.
If you've ever heard of The Resurrection Man or The Forever Man....even Raceme Rosinturn let me know. I don't even think this is real...cool story though.
