Snake verses ELECTRIC FENCE

Seems a sheep farmer was puzzled about the disappearance
of some sheep on his farm. After a few weeks the farmer
decided to put up an electric fence.
About a week later, this is what he found!

Now, I know we've all heard of people being eaten by
snakes & I bet most of us have said, 'If a snake tried to
eat me, I'd blah, blah, blah & get away.'
Well, this is a Python & they're extremely aggressive &
have a few teeth that they use to hold their prey while
they wrap around them & then constrict.
Could you get away if this one bit you & held on with it's
'few teeth?'
(Note: The wires are 10 inches apart.)

It's amazing that some python species can grow up to 33 feet long, constrict a small child and swallow them whole...This one's mouth was opened 30 inches...scary as hell...good find though...thanks original.gif

Yes, boas do in fact have teeth. This is from the National Geographic website.

"Significantly smaller than anacondas, boas can grow up to 13 feet (4 meters) long and weigh more than 100 pounds (45 kilograms). Their jaws are lined with small, hooked teeth for grabbing and holding prey while they wrap their muscular bodies around their victim, squeezing until it suffocates. Boas will eat almost anything they can catch, including birds, monkeys, and wild pigs. Their jaws can stretch wide to swallow large prey whole."

The teeth look big because the snake's lips are pulled back, revealing the gums which show the teeth extending into the jaw. They're not very big, but this gives the illusion that they're a lot bigger than they really are.

It's dead. Doubt it is feeling much. Electrocution would have been fairly quick for this beastie I would think.

Well, if it wasn't before the farmer found it, it probably soon was. I would put a few rounds in that thing, even if it was dead when I found it.

I'm not sure I like that statement, I would tranquilize it if I could, call authorities and have them take it to a shelter, these creatures arent the killers that people like you make them out to be, they shouldnt be killed for doing what that naturally do and have been doing for millions of years.

Irish, where is the link.

Poor snake, he was looking for a nice mutton dinner. I feel for the snake but I can understand a farmer wanting to keep his sheep. Man, I wouldn't want to walk in to that fence.
