I'm sorry, but that crap is edited and not real. For it to be what they are saying backwords it has to corresponded with how the original lyrics read like backwords and it doesn't. Of course if you want real backwords messages, go listen to Cradle of Filth...hehe

Thats kinda freaky!
The only backwards song I ever tried
to listen to on my own was a song by
the Rock Group Queen and the song was
Another One Bites The Dust
Maybe you know this tune.
If you can play this one backwards
just after you hear "another one bites
the dust"
backwards it says very clearly "Its fun
to smoke marijuana"
In am not kidding here... Some people
say Queen meant for the song to have
this hidden backward message.. but they
denied it... still its kinda strange,
funny and freakey!

its not easy for me to answer, being as i was not alive at that time, but i think my mother telling me that cranky old fellows thought that the new 'sexual revolution' 'rebelious teenagers' and the 'protest music' movements were evil (which some of it may well have been) and then that the popular music of the times was spreading these ideas to easily influenced minds, and lets face it, what minds are more easily influenced than teens? so, the cranky old fellows began trying all sorts of different ways to root out these evil messages, like playing the records backwards, halted, and what not. they found, of course, nothing, but it bacame a fad with the teens to play the records backwards, and of course you would hear something if you were stoned, drink, and expecting it.

Well, if you don't read the backward lyrics you won't be able to tell what the sords are. If you backward play an entire album and listen for the word "satan" then chance is pretty big that you're gona find it there, even in a Christian music album.

Feb 15 2004, 10:56 PM
ok, so i flipped the little 24 second clip
its really hard to make anything out, but you can hear what sounds like satan, and a few other words, but i can only really make out 'satan' and 'little' but as Mr. Penguin has said, you could easily find words if you looked through tracks backwards.
so...yeah
Edit my mate suggested slowing it down, so i did, and can now make out 'six six six' but the program im using slows it down too much. if anyone has a program that can slow it down gradually that could get the clip in reverse (if you cant get that ask me and i'll send it to you) and then slow it down so its not too slow, nor too fast and see if they can hear anything more.
PM me if you can. i'd like to see if any other words can be made out.

I had a friend was the drummer in a band .In one of the songs they recorded they attempted to get the words 'I am Satan, I am your master ' when replayed backwards , unfortunately when they did play it backward it sounded much more like 'The landlord is knocking at the green door ' . Quite the let down it was
Cudos to any band that can actually get the backward play thing working .

Feb 16 2004, 10:24 PM
Not to start a really bad time for anyone, but a lot of music when played backwords can have what sounds like satanic, angelic or other words "imbedded".
The average human will only here gibberish until a phrase or word that they know "pops" out at them. Then when played over and over your mind says "Yup you heard it right."
Plus, words are only sounds. When played at different speeds and directions they can seem to make other words. There are only about a hundred or so 'sounds' in the english language. Sounds added together make the words, words + words make a sentence etc. The probability of a combination of words (Sounds) played backwords making other words is in reality very high. (Common) I feel that those who look for this stuff, other than for fun, are trying to justify a dislike for a particular bands music or style.

The funny yhing is that several websites featuring this song has different lyrics for backmasking. They have only common words, like Satan and 666. Oh.. btw I found the backward song is pretty good

There was this record by Napoleon XIV which was, unbelievably, a hit in the UK. The 'B' side was the same 'song' in reverse. He was responsible for other gems like 'I live in a Split Level Head', and 'Where the Nuts Hunt the Squirrels.' His whole act was about madness. Alright if you like that sort of thing, but I wasn't crazy about it.

If you play "The cheeky song" by the cheeky girls backwards, they sing "Hail satan, our dark lord. We are the corruptors and rapists of all things decent. Satan is lord, satan is our king."
This may or may not be true, but it undoubtedly sounds better...

If you sing twinkle twinkle little star in reverse..
the line that says "how I wonder what you are" sounds like "I wish there were no Allah."

Creepy but I'm not going to think about it, I don't believe in the devil or hell for that matter, but to me it could be a joke that the webmaster put up. Or it could be real.
PsychicPenguin
Apr 4 2004, 02:35 AM
It is not a joke. Backward messages are real. Some of them are intentional, but most of them are pure coincidence. If you listen hard enough you can hear anything that you want. I think Stairway to Heaven is a backward message of the 2nd type (coincidence), and you can make "LORD hear to Thy creation" instead of "Oh, here's to my sweet Satan." For the intentional ones, I think they are just pranks created by the artists to have fun with the christian fundamentalists.

Also, I heard a rumor that if you play the start of one of their hidden tracks (on Life is Peachy, to be exact), forwards the convo between him and the recording guy is this:
JD:Are ya ready, middle guy?
Record guy: Use the force luke!
JD: I'ma use the force, okay, go.
But backwards he says "Go buy yourself a demon"
Does anyone know any other 'newer' bands who have these messages?

Actually I have the song on cd. I took it and reversed in the audacity music editor. It came out as it was on the website although not as clean. Backwards masking is what I think it is. Studios use it to implant messages on a CD that can only be heard when played backwards. Nothing to do with the real words he said, so it doesn't have to correspond.

It worked for me just fine too... and if you record yourself singing twinkle twinkle little star and play it backwords, "I wish there were no Allah" is super clear... Concidence?? I dunno, but just the other day, I was wondering tomyself ( I know this is rather strange and random) who wrote the dang song in the first place and why something so silly became a nursury rhyme. Eh.

Jan 7 2005, 05:07 AM
they probably just put that on there to contradict the song title. I mean, it's stairway to heaven, and when played backwads it talks about hell, they probably meant to do that just to make the reverse of it about going to hell. pretty lame and exaggerated if you ask me.
