What exactly are you looking for. If someone had visited that part of the spectrum, what is it you wish to know?
Uhm, as soon I read your post I thought of an astral experience I had once (or out of body experience really as I believe it to be a real physical place I went to).
Here is the story (copied from my blog, http://mindsvision.blogspot.com ):
Once many years ago, still in my early experimentations with out of body experiences, I had a strange and interesting experience. I didn't plan to go anywhere specific, but as I laid down, did my astral projection exercises, and started to project - I suddenly found myself on the surface of another planet.
It was rather dark, and I was inside some kind of building. It seemed to me like some kind of storage facility as there were boxes and objects placed around filling up the place. There, to my amazement, were also other living beings. I saw an strange looking but yet humanoid type of alien running through the corridors, and he was being followed by two other aliens. I am not sure what was going on, but it seemed to the one being chased was running from authorities - maybe a space criminal.
These aliens looked somewhat like humans, they had two arms and two legs just like us, and were wearing clothes. But their head looked somewhat different, kind of more like a reptile, with big "lips" that i guess was more like some kind of beak - and a strange growth on the top of their heads.
In any case, I followed him as he was running through the building. I was floating up in the ceiling, and I was invisible for them. I was just observing what was happening.
At some point this little fellow ran into a room and was trapped as there were no other exits. But, down by the floor level on the walls, there were some kind of holes - I do not know what these were for - but he crawled down through them. I followed after him, but for me all i had to do was to fly through the solid walls - like a ghost - as in the astral form you are not limited to physical laws.
When I got through the walls and out on the other side, I quickly forgot all about the little guy I was after. Now I was on the surface of the planet, outside of the building, and I could see the amazing scenery. It was very dark outside, probably it was in the night, and there were mountains all around. I was on top of one of these mountains, and looking down a deep valley below.
At the bottom of this valley was a strange, purple colored, shining lake. It was a beautiful sight, yet very strange at the same time. In the lake was a row of poles spread across from one end to the other. Through the top of the poles were running some kind of wires. And these wires went all the way to some huge building at the shores in one end of the lake, situated down at the foot of some huge mountains.
I assumed this building was some kind of power plant, and that they were extracting some kind of energy from the lake itself. On top of the power plant was a huge sphere, with a lot of lightning striking through on the inside, in sharp and bright colors.
It was very intense to see this, and I was stunned by the fact I was visiting such an alien planet - I certainly had not expected to see things like this.
About the same time I had started to study this strange power plant by the end of the lake, I felt a tugging sensation, and started to lose my ability to stay there any longer. I quickly was pulled back into my body, and got up from my meditative state and sat down to ponder upon this great experience.
I hope to go back there some day..

Thanks for this DarkBreed. This just completely adds to my experiences and the people I know who have visited a purple lake.
I\'ll share something with you guys.
There are more than one of these. I can not explain how many there are or where they are for I don\'t \"know\" where they are. With what I have experienced, these purple lakes hold immense amounts of \"energy\" or something of that sort. And what is truly remarkable is that the people I know who visited these lakes while APing said there are always some sort of factories or power plants \"feeding\" off of the lakes. And what was really shocking was the mountains, all three of the people I know said that there were mountains surrounding the lakes, and even you, a person who I\'ve never interacted with says that it was by mountains.
*note* There are many of these lakes for there are ones with no \"power plants\" running off of them.
But was always strange about this to me was that none of them could examine the lake or the plants closer or go into the lake. And apparently neither could you. This is what is strange to me, when I start to AP, I don\'t look for the lake or try to go somewhere, I \"wake up\" inside the lake, beneath the surface. Every time I AP, it\'s sort of a reoccurring event that happens every night. And what really freaks me out, when I accidentally lose focus and get pulled back out to my body, my vision is violet/purple. Entirely, I see purple, instead of every color, it\'s a shade of purple, but then it fades after a while. I don\'t think that APing shouldn\'t affect my body in such a way, but it does.
Anyways, let me just describe what it is like in the lake. *note* when I put \" \" around a word, it means is just the closest thing to describe it in our language and that it is oversimplified.
It\'s very \'powerful\' and \'immense\' feeling. It\'s like your a part of it and it bonds to you. \"infects\" you. But not in a bad way. It give you tremendous \'power\' but also knowledge and understanding. When your in it and if you think about anything, you understand it. You \"know\" it. You feel it. You... I don\'t know how to put this into words. It\'s like \"God\" overseeing everything that he created (*note* I don\'t believe in such a thing, just using it as a metaphor). You know everything about it. Everything. But in a calm an peaceful way.
Your \"being\" or \"yourself\" in the AP becomes \"covered in the liquid and it attaches to you. It becomes part of you. And... well, you know the whole bad \"spirits\"/\"beings\" in the AP, the liquid becomes your shield from these things, after you have left the lakes. It protects you entirely. There is nothing that you need to do if \"something\" is \"attacking\" you. But you don\'t need to attack. You don\'t want to attack. You understand everything about the being and why it\'s attacking. It works as sort of a shield/mirror. If something \"attacks\" it is reflected into themselves and they feel what they do.
You have this overall knowledge about everything and you just know better.... you can\'t really put it into our words. Our language is too simple. If I could send a feeling to you, I would and only then would you understand.
But this is what I know for sure about it because it happens every time I AP.
I would have said that I am frightened that I can be in the lakes, but I understand why I can and why few can.
Think about it, if everyone had such \"power\"/knowledge, they could easily do wrong with it because of their opinions and feelings. And me... I don\'t have any feelings anymore. For a while now.
I hope you can visit it again. The only advice I can give is \"open up\" your mind/thoughts/understanding more to the point where you are not inflicted by anything, and you just \"don\'t care/open to knowledge\"(Once again, I can\'t put it into words)

P.S. Just an example: Last night I didn\'t want to expose this information because some people would try to attain this power for \"incorrect\" purposes. But once I APed and was in the lake, I knew why it was okay for me to state it and why it was okay for all to know about it because not everyone can enter, and the ones that do only use it for \"good\"(not really the word I would use). The power plants are kind of like power plants but not really, they apparently protect the lakes, but don\'t use their energy. Thats just what the people who have been there say. I think that these are some advanced civilizations that figured out a way to harness the energy. Anyways. Good Luck finding them again.

I just made the photo up by inverting some colors on a picture I found. Strangely enough, this experience is the only type of experience I've shared, and yet the people with whom I shared it with, they knew about it. Probably not a coincidence.

If this place has so much "pwoer" coudlnt we tap into it? I know many psions, tap into the power of the earth, moon, pretty much anywhere..(I used to, but dont really find the need to anymore, as my psi reserves have greatly grown) But, I know when you first start off, the need to do this is huge..But, couldnt we do the same for this "lake"? Like try to draw psychic energy from it? I bet it would be cool to see the results...

I have tried that, i just got a mild case of RV. I think i'm getting close, i can feel my top half leave my body, but my legs are still stuck, and i can't see, i then quickly fall back into my body, it takes up too much energy. The "I am going to astral project"?
I did not do that. It didn't make any sense to me and I thought it would give me a sort of a placebo effect. Just like if you say "I am going to vomit" repeatedly for a long time and believe it, you will throw up.
Here's what I did:
1. Wake up at 4:00, or some other time. It is a little more difficult to do it right after your day when you go to sleep because of background noise. But this guide should help you with the background noise as well.
2. Think about yourself. Think about everything that just happened today. Think about how you don't care.
3. Think about how insignificant your body is among the billions on this planet. Visualize all of this ever step of the way I might add.
4. Think about every person on the planet, how each person does their daily life. How each person's actions don't matter much in the grand scheme of things.
5. Think about how even if the human race disappeared entirely tomorrow, how little of an impact it would make in our galaxy. In the universe.
6. Think about how nothing here matters. Nothing you do or anyone does matters. Feel that you don't care. Feel unfeeling, apathetic.
7. Think about the our earth as a planet. Then zoom out to our solar system. Then zoom out to see the other vital parts of our galaxy.
8. Zoom out more and see the galaxy and a whole.
9. Zoom out and see the collection of galaxies. Zoom out and see the galaxy system working the same as a solar system.
10. See the entire universe and it's emptiness. Zoom out to the 'final' scope, where there is nothing but your thoughts. Nothing but your awareness.
11. Think about how your thoughts are so alone, but in a good way. And that what you think is the only thing that matters. Your thoughts are the only things that directly affect your mind.
12. See that you are zoomed out and there is this universe and then there is you.
13. You see the whole universe, you see everything. You don't care what happens anymore and you just want to observe. You want to know. You want more knowledge just for the hell of it.
14. And just go. You've completely left everything and your are by yourself and you can go anywhere and do anything.
15. There is just once catch, you need to remember it.
And thats it. Thats what I do. It works perfectly for me, maybe you should try it. Just entirely forget about your body and your prescience here and just leave. Your not pushing yourself to do it. You just want to.
You can do this as you go to bed, or wake up in the middle of the night and do it them.
For me, I just zoom out one more time when I want to go to the lake. I zoom past my self. I leave my thoughts. I leave my awareness. Then I "wake up" in the lake. I breath the lake fluid, I feel it, so on and so forth. The stuff I described above.
Anyway. This is what I do and I hope it helps you incase the other methods are not working. I just made this up. It's just what I did accidentally and it feels great.
