Full Version: What makes you weird?
Being weird is a relative term. What is defined as normal and what is weird. The first people to get facial piercings were considered freaks, but enough people get their lips pierced and pretty soon the ones who are weird are the ones without metal in their face. Actions considered socially unacceptable at one point aren't even given a second glance now. I don't consider myself weird, I just think I'm ahead of my time.
I wear weights on my head home made weights that make people look and ask, eh mon, you rasta, No sir, surely you have been mistaken! Yeah and I laugh at my own jokes, like I keep going into the thread about adam and eve not having any clothes and rereading what I wrote cause I think it is funny and hey I'm about to go there now...

I like to think that I am weird in small sections in my life which can add up to being able to carry the grand title of quirky (my word of choice).
Just of the top of my head ... - my hair (no pun). Dead straight blunt fringe with the rest of it naturally ringlet curls
- My music. Combination of Justin Timberlake, Cat Powers and Coheed and Cambria, anyone? I like to think its eclectic.
- I manage to cope with a triple major in English and yet my spelling/grammar is shocking
- I'm one of the nerdiest people I know (apart from the BF) and (IMHO, lol) and yet I am a terrible tease.
Aside from that, you'd just have to have met me to understand.

I look like the town metal kid (and I suppose I was at one point, for a short time) but I play saxophone and I listen to mostly avant-garde jazz, fusion, and 20th century classical music.
Pop music and rap make me want to projectile vomit. I've felt that since I was about 8 years old.
Since my freshman year of high school nearly all of my friends who were not musicians (and many who were) have been either drug addicts or alcoholics, yet I keep completely clean - no drugs, no booze. For a college student that tends to confuse a lot of people.
When I grow out my facial hair in a certain way, I am told I am the spitting image of Pharoah Sanders...except with the colors of hair and skin reversed.
So yeah. I'm obviously not that weird.
