This story was going around...
About a guy that asks a lady for a ride to his car in a mall parking lot.
A lady was leaving a store and went to her car and notices that she had a flat tire. A good samaritan says he'll change the tire for her which he does. He then asks her for a lift to his car on the other side of the lot. She asked him why his car was on the other side of the lot and he said he met a friend for lunch and drove him here. When he puts the flat tire in the trunk she notices that he also puts a bag in the trunk. She gets suspicious and tells him that she forgot her credit card in the store and would he mind waiting a minute. She calls the police. When they got to her car he was gone; but in the bag in the trunk was duct tape and a butcher knife.
It turns out that he let the air out of the tire.

This story was supposed to make women aware and be on their guard when they're alone.

I'm guessing this is a variation of some urban legend.

Its not a variation well kinda because the guy is dressed as a girl and she/he needs a ride home.

That's it! Thanks. I forgot about the part where the guy is dressed like a girl. I knew something was missing.
I only read that story once but figured it had to be an urban legend.
Thanks again.

Moral of the story: Beware ladies with five o'clock shadows.

^LOL
Its an urban legend to help teach people to be aware of their surroundings and always be careful. Dont trust strangers, even if youre an adult.

For anyone who has seen the movie The Zodiac will know that a variation of this story is in it. I never bothered to look up the accuracies of the movie, so I can't tell you whether it actually happened or not.

Which one? There were at least two with that name. . .if its the one with Robert Downey, Jr. .. then that one was very accurate. . .according to Robert Graysmith, who is the one that wrote the books on the Zodiac killer and was involved in the investigation. . .well, sort of. . .I guess he involved himself.

I've heard this story too, but I never heard the "man dressed as a woman" part. . .a "woman" with an adam's apple is creepy in itself.

Interesting urban legend although why would he leave his bag in the car if he was leaving? They could get finger prints then. I also liked the one where the woman is asked for a ride by a guy who was dressed as a woman.

is this one still doing the rounds?? far out. i used to get it emailed to me.. yep urban legend, but havent heard of it being a bloke dressed like a woman.

moral of the story.. learn to change your own damned tyre
Clovis
Sounds like it has elements of Little Red Riding Hood with the wolf dressing like the grandmother.

Downey was in the Zodiac film I'm talking about, yes. It was released to American theaters around 2007, I believe.
Blind Atrocity
Why would he dress as a woman is the bigger question, I think. A lady is more likely to accept help from a man rather than another woman, is she not? In regards to tire changing, of course. Fortunately, I change my own flats.
Sweetsalem82103
Yeah, me too. . .I learned that crap when I was a teenager. lol. . .

If it was the movie with Robert Downey, then, like I said, it was pretty accurate. . .In fact, it was hailed for its accurate-ness. At least from what I heard. I used to be obsessed with the Zodiac case. ..I can't say what you're referring to because I'm a bit tipsy ( grin2.gif ) but, if it was in the movie. . .

i agree,or carry tire slime. and why dress as a woman?lmao
Scary For Kids
This is one urban legend that is based on fact because I read a book about serial killers and it said that The Zodiac Killer in San Francisco and Ted Bundy both used this "trick" to attack their victims. Very creepy indeed!!!!
