this just happened like 20 minutes ago, I'm really tired right now. and I was sitting on my couch watching TV, and I started falling asleep (like when you know your falling asleep, but you don't really care) and well, all I can really remember was I starting to fall asleep, then darkness for a few seconds. Then the next moment I jumped up, and I was vibrating from the inside out. my hole body, my arms, my legs, my chest....everything! O_O god it was scary, nothing like this has ever happened to me, and my heart is still racing. And I know for a fact that, that wasn't a dream. I'm probably over reacting, but I'm really freaked out.

now I'll most likely be up all night now, does anyone know what this might be? dontgetit.gif

Hello, and we should both be in bed, mostlikely....

That's a surprising thing to happen.

In "sceptic-blab" it could be some form of adrenaline brought on by a dream. Ever feel pain in your dreams? kinda like that.

In "spiritual/medium talk" it could be something like a spirit trying to get your attention, or somehow it was a good thing if you woke up at that moment, so the spirit made it happen.

I was thinking maybe it was either a spirit in the room with you or an out of the body experience.Either way, I wouldn't worry about it, I would be more worried about losing sleep......................................... original.gif

Strangely, yesterday I was sat on the sofa with my boyfriend, I was awake looking at ebay, and my bf started stroking my back and said that I was vibrating. I didn't feel a thing. I thought it may have been caused by my laptop on my lap so I put it on the table, and my bf said I was still vibrating. About 2 mins after, it just stopped. It happened again a few hours later. I didn't notice it at all.

I suspect it may have something to do with the nearby train track, although I usually notice when trains go past.

If I recall right, I believe there was a right up somewhere on line somewhere, it was pertaining to people with cell mobile phones, that had a vibrating alert torching their hip or body, and in some cases as this is a constant happening when their cell mobile phone go off from a incoming call, their bodies will start to feel the vibrations even when the phone is off and in some cases the phone is not even there, it is due to some physical conditioning, it would be very interesting to find out if other causes of vibrations in the living or working environments can also have these effects upon one body, say as in the daily assurances of a passing freight train lasting for four minutes several times a day…I will try to locate the source of the Cell Phone article if I can. This may sound like it's very off the wall but it could be the start of an "anxiety attack"...When I had mine, my whole body felt exactly the same way...It disoriented me so much that when I looked in the mirror it looked like my face was vibrating...This is usually caused by undue stress, so if it continues, try to get a check-up....Hopefully it will be a once in a lifetime for you.... original.gif

It sounds to me like you were experiencing some form of sleep paralysis . you can still feel its affects sometimes once you become fully conscious . nothing to worry about though . but i must admit it freaked me out too the first time i had the vibrations . original.gif

sounds very similar to the epileptic seisures I used to have. Did you feel numb at all during this episode? Or did you have a very sore headache within a few hours of it happening? (before or after)

Do you have asthma? My mum's inhalers make her shake like that sometimes.

I've heard of that. It happens to me all the time.

That was my very first thought - an epileptic seizure. Or maybe you just had some mexican jumping beans in your pocket? tongue.gif
If you think this medical in anyway it's best to ask your doctor, not people on a forum.

that's the exact thought that went through my mind as it was happening, but I didn't have a headache, and I wasn't numb. I even got up when it was happening, see when it first happened I though for some reason my couch was vibrating, then I started to realize it was me. o_o

And I'm quite healthy, I don't have asthma, and I rarely even get colds. The last few years I've been at my healthiest. My family health history is good.

but I'll check with a doctor anyway. I was able to sleep a bit, but I had nightmares. so yeah.

but now when I think about what happened, I am able to recall more of what happened, now that I'm calm. I wasn't shacking or anything, just vibrating, the strongest coming from my chest area. and it felt like I was vibrating from the inside. I've told my mom...she doesn't know what to say.
