i have been thinking about making one of the two and i need some feedback and pros and cons about both of them.
basically i need to know which do you like better, why, and if you could recommend one which would it be?
thank you for your comments

Never used either and don't plan to. The only experience I've had with Myspace is when I started getting emails for someone wanting to be my friend on a Myspace account I never opened. I looked into it and some moron had used my email to open his account. Apparently they didnt' require a confimation email as I know he didn't have access to my email. Because my email was primary on the account though I was able to change his password and close his account.

I've used both and they're equally lame. I'll occasionally play with myspace but (as my friends know) I rarely talk to anyone on there.

I used to have myspace, I only use it because my one friend is a douche and is obsessed with it and she thinks everyone should be as well. I have facebook, logged on once and that was it...that was over 2yrs ago. Both are stupid if you ask me.

Both are stupid although Myspace is a good place to keep in touch if you're a musician as its easier to reach more people...
But if you're an average person then its just stupid.
Same with facebook, WAAAY to personal on that, but heh, I guess it works for some people (snobby 20 somethings and the 30 year olds who want to be them)

Well Its gotta be My Space coz Facebooks got to many applications. I havent got time for cyber Shots, kisses, gift giving and such. Facebooks fun I must admit.

My Space has got wicked bands and some of the most coolness of all peoples from UM. lol
Bebo's boring btw too!

maybe somebody could actually answer my question as to the pros and cons of both
what is good about facebook? what is bad about it?
same with myspace
the point wasn't to only say which you liked or disliked
could you all please explain you reasons as to why you like or dislike a particular one?

Myspace blows because it is too easy for people to create digital vomit. Facebook at least has some consistancy across profiles. Plus there are some really cool apps for Facebook. Also it handles Photos much better.
And it has a better name than the idiodic "Myspace". Gee, hope they didn't blow the budget coming up with that gem.
I'd go as far as saying don't use Myspace because of the name.
It infuriates me.

is one more private than the other?
i mean like, can only ur friends view one or the other, not just any random computer hacker b/ci know it's not that hard to hack and see someones myspace on private, my friends showed me, but is facebook like a friends only thing?

Eh. The main thing i don't like about myspace is all the spam messages and friend requests that you get saying stuff like 'look at my private pics' etc. Does my head in. People on facebook are actually friendly.

Like Fox stated anyone can create digital feces on myspace..
They'll tile the backround with dozens of different useless pics that slow page load...
If you're going to use either of these (which I don't reccomand) then use facebook..

Actally, come to think of it. Ive had a heap of awesome, decent friends have their Profiles deleted on My Space. That sucks really bad to coz they had fully wicked pages and these people wouldnt hurt a fly. ( Unless horribly provoked) LOL.
Ive blocked pretty much everything on my profile to prevent this happening.
Anyone messes with my page, I'll split the earth open quick smart.
xcrimsonx woz ere loving her My Space Mate's. *hugs*

Facebook for numerous reasons. One main reason is the fact that you have better privacy on facebook. Also you are more connected with friends/classmates on facebook rather than myspace where I could add joe the hobo who has a knife and could come and kill me =/.
