Diana had to die, and revealed the story herself after her death -- or so says Rosemary the Celtic Lady.

"An inquest jury last week blamed negligent driving by the Princess of Wales's chauffeur and pursuing paparazzi photographers, rather than an alleged establishment plot.

The Celtic Lady, Rosemary McArthur when she's not using her professional title, said Diana has "channelled" through her to reveal that her 1997 death in a Paris road tunnel was no accident.

The self-styled international psychic medium, a Scot living in Colorado, McArthur was in Edmonton on Sunday at the Body Soul and Spirit Expo, a travelling show featuring clairvoyants, healers, card and hair readers, reflexologists and miracle-code practitioners.

Diana, who consulted a range of psychics, spiritual healers and astrologers, might have felt at home there.

McArthur said that a few hours before meeting Diana in 1993 she fell painfully ill and saw flashes of lights, a black car and heard screeching metal.

"I kept hearing, 'Paris, Paris, Paris.' "

Four years later, she endured the same sensations and then heard news of Diana's fatal car crash, Rosemary said.

Not long after, Diana "starts channelling through me," saying she was in a better place but "they" had secretly removed a fetus from her body.

Still, McArthur and other exhibitors held out hope to visitors that they can improve their own lives through various forms of healing, enlightenment and miracles.

In the miracle line, Barrie Nighswander said there are various signs that Maitreya, "the spiritual head of the spiritual hierarchy," is coming into the world. He said that is good because even Jesus, just a notch down in the pecking order, is a disciple of Maitreya.

The miraculous signs include cross-shaped light patterns, said Nighswander, a local musician. As proof, he offered a sheet of bathroom privacy glass, embedded with repeating rectangular lens-like indents, that showed such a pattern when backlit.

"The actual molecular structure of the lens has been altered."

He said similar molecular changes have caused reflecting glass in a downtown office tower to reflect crosses onto a nearby building.

"These crosses of light are appearing all over the city, all over the world, actually," Nighswander said.

Audrey Hodge, a visitor from Westlock, was there to find out about assorted alternative medicines. Along the way she had her face read.

"I had never heard of face reading before," Hodge said, adding she found the experience satisfying.

The idea of divining personality by peering at someone's face seems relatively down to earth, for a psychic fair. But wait.

"We can even tell what your mother was thinking when she was carrying you in the womb, just by looking at the tangible flesh," face reader Carole Friesen said."
