I read an ariticle a couple of days ago about new air powered hybrid cars that are set to go on the market. Instead of running them on chemical energy, the idea is to run them on physical energy instead. Regular old air is pumped into compressed ultra strong tanks, then the air is released through pistons in the engine, which drives the wheels Current prototypes get up to one horsepower can get up to 70 mph and run for 120 miles, plus it costs only three dollors to fill up the tank. I would say that everyday the mph and horsepower gets better. You can read about this at www.ecogeek.org/content/view/1260/ or google hybrid car air pressure. I would say that initially it would cost a bit more, but you probably would pay it off in what you save in gas, very quickly. What's your thoughts on this matter? Is it a solution that could help offset our Gasaholism?

I had heard they were already selling these in India. They are a good idea, as good as electric cars anyway, as electricity can be made using renewable energy and not just fossil fuels.
