Full Version: Lightning stikes two planes at Dulles

After seeing this,i was thinking,how come the electronics aren't fried?There is an explanation,and if you watch the video you will see the plane getting hit (twice!) and honestly it looks like it would have done SOME damage.I hate flying anyway,so this only made me more likely to take some other means of transportation.Here is the video: http://cosmos.bcst.yahoo.com/up/player/pop...58&src=news

And the explanation is that the aircraft is mainly conductive metal and thus acts as a Faraday cage. But it is a very impressive video.
