I just had a strange SP episode this morning. I was saying good bye to my boyfriend over an internet call, when I suddenly fell into an SP episode.
This happens to him also, and we try to wake each other up, are cue is breathing in and out fast to make the other one aware of what going on. (Since we can't move or do much else). Anyway, I could hear him yelling at me to wake up, and even clapping his hands, but I just couldn't. It was really scary.
Any ideas why it came on so suddenly. One minute I was up, and fine, then I couldn't move or wake up. (I've been sleeping good, so it shouldn't be sleep deprivation).
Also, I can usually react with in seconds when he's waking me from one, and this time it took three minutes at least. (On my own it obviously takes much longer).
I'm just concerned this isn't going to be some sleep disorder, I experience SP a lot, and this time it sort of took over...I was awake.

I was awake.
You need to see a doctor. That could be a sign of Multiple Sclerosis or something like that. Seriously.

You do need to see a medical professional, get checked for narcolepsy which covers a whole range of sleep disorders. only If you can completley eliminate any medical disfunction should you even begin to consider a psychic explanation. Start by monitoring your sleep patterns and include hours of sleep and disturbed rest periods, note what you do before sleep, try and maintain a routine, note any allergies it will give you some information to take to the specialist. The answer is undoubtedley medical and to be found within and is absolutley not some external influence.

Definitely doesn't sound right, I get like that when I have an attack...I just collapse, and unable to move which can be fatal. I'd get i checked out.
