That Doll sure is scary looking ,how could any poor kid grow up normally with that things sitting in a chair looking at you ?
Could be just the old print , but there seem to be orbs in that photo

My fiancé and I bought a 2004 home 30 min. east of Madison, WI. We were working on electrical in the basement and came across this photo hidding in the ceiling of the basement. The photo looks very dated and this home is very new. Was a very strange and unexplainable find. The doll looks very spooky as either there is some wear on the photo, the flash causing weird lights, or there's a bit of a ghostly light in the photo.

That is an eerie pic. I do see alot of orbs and mist or glare in it as well. I also see what appears to be a mans face at the center of the head post of the bed. But you know what they say about seeing faces in clouds........lol

Very old photo indeed...It looks like something from my grandmothers era...I know nothing about orbs, but the doll was very common in the days of yore

I'm sure any child who received this gift then would be very happy, but in this day and age it is scary looking...Although to a collectors eye, I'm sure the doll, rocking chair and the other antiques would make his day...Sorry to go OT..

Personally I hate those dolls......

But I loved the photo......

Nice photo but nothing creepy about it. No orbs nothing just nice scenery and glare.

Is that a Christmas tree? It looks like Christmas balls and garland. At first I thought it was a chandalier.
My dad was an amateur photographer and had a darkroom in our basement. I saw many a pic with spots on them due to his processing, I guess. We called them mistakes and nowadays they are seen as orbs.
Bogeyman, that comment was not directed at you. It is just my observation over the last 50some yrs.
EDIT: I do think it's a very interesting picture!

Oh thats nothing, my mom use to collect clown dolls and filled her sewing room with them. I hated that room, very creepy. This doll looks ok in comparison to my moms clown collection lol.

It is a creepy photo. Slightly off topic, recently we went to a victorian village and that place, the whole place, had the wierdest vibe to it. Even my 11 year old son picked up on it, it was full of things, thousands of things, that people had once loved and cherished. Couldn't help think that place was haunted.

Creeeeeeepy!!!! It gives me the willies!!!
I hate dolls like that!
Is that a finger on the left or because of the print of the photo? The bright anomaly on the left?
I do see orbs, but it could be just dust.

If you love creepy dolls, don't miss the collection in the Lightner Museum in St. Augustine, Florida if you go there to the beach this summer.

The bright anomalies are more than likely finger prints on the pictuer as it was scanned.

It would be kinda funny/freaky if that was part of a series of photos taken in one second intervals and the doll actually moves and the chair rocks back and forth.

Thats a pretty cool photo. Clearly there is a figure and face of a man on the upper right, plus it has its share of orbs and other transparent images. I like this one, except the doll lol...

I think the doll in the manger type thing under the Christmas tree is more eerie than the doll in the rocking chair.......the doll in the rocking chair has that sneaky look; like she has a secret.

I see the figure on the right as well, and if you click on the link at the beginning of this thread and read where this pic was found, it is kinda spooky.

All dolls are creepy.
There's a decorated christmas tree in the room too, which I'm sure could explain any orbs that may be seen.
Nothing out of the ordinary in the pic to me.

I find it interesting that in many places people who are buying homes have the right to ask realitors if the house has a "haunted history." The realitors are required to disclose this information. Many people have ignored this information and suffered the consequences. I have good friends who had this experience, and it bothers them to this day. As far as the photo goes, it just looks old and creepy to me - that's it.

Where I live, for 3 years from when the property went on the market, the realtor must disclose any information regarding a murder/suicide in the house or any reported paranormal experiences.
