I live in jonesborough, and this entire thing takes place in kingsport - so disgust.gif i really never get to be there EVERY NIGHT at midnight to see this thing.. but anyways here is the "legend".

A man, his wife and 3 month old baby were staying at a house they had just moved into. They had been there for 2 weeks, when the dad started to go crazy and threatened to kill his wife. He raped her and threw her into the creek near the house, and murdered her. He threw the baby in there with her, and the baby didn't die. He got a knife and jabbed it in the baby over and over again until she died. The cries of the baby in the tunnel right next to it can be heard, and you can see a woman walking along the creek!

Explain where you live, and tell me if there is any refrence, maybe this "legend" is popular and is fake to an event that happened in another state.

Do you live in Kingsport, Tennessee? If so, have you herd of the Haunted Tunnel?

This legend sounds like a variation of Cry Baby Bridge and the Weeping Woman... A solid combination of both and I think that's where this legend comes from. I've actually never heard this one though.

I haven't heard about it, but it sounds interesting. wink2.gif
Blind Atrocity
Sounds interesting. I saw Jonesborough and immediately though... oooh, Jonesboro! Haha. I'd like to hear more on that one, honestly.

It tends to be "La Llorona" in Hispanic areas of the United States and "Crybaby Bridge" in non-Hispanic sections. Ohio, alone, has at least SIX different "Crybaby Bridges," each of them of course claiming to be the one, the only and the original.

la llorona wasn't murdered, im pretty sure she is looking for her baby, and the woman in this story was killed right next to her baby

as for the crying baby...maybe the odd shape of the inside of the tunnel is making a weird sound as the wind goes through it

Babies, or children, PLURAL. She herself killed them and is denied entrance into Heaven until she finds their bodies. Thus she is apparently not damned but in sort sort of purgatorial state.

That's a likely explanation for the Crybaby Bridge stories, too, winds whistling and shrieking through the superstructure.

Thanks for that. I knew them from England as well as from North America but it's interesting that they occur in Eastern Europe as well.
