We're on the same page, I purchased 4 acres and will be building a small 1000 sq ft cabin on it(theres only 3 of us) Not because of the 2012 crap, but as u stated we will eventually go back to a simpler way of life and it's best to be prepared. Still haven't made the jump to a hybrid, I gotta have my American muscle:) By the way i'll be 27 in 2012 and my son will be 5 so thoughts of this don't sit well with me.

I wasn't aware that anyone predicted a 1986 Zombie Attack.... Who was it? Is there a website about it?

Doomsday is happening every day. People die everyday so I don't think there is a special day for "DOOMSDAY".

The doomsday scenario for december 21st 2012 may be a load of rubbish. But i believe something big will happen at that time, im unsure at the minute wether this will be a positive experience, like first contact with aliens or like so many have prophesied this is that date of doomsday for planet earth.

These are good words. However I believe a bit more precaution should be taken. My family live on an Island on the Gulf and will be moving (2 year plan) inland.

This is a good point. The Mayan calander does not call for a doomsday/apocalypse/end of the world. It's the end of one cycle, and the start of another. The mayan calander is circular for a reason. A circle has no beginning and NO END. The change over could be difficult, and some nasty stuff could happen, but the Mayans never predicted a doomsday.

Again, there have been more Doomsday, Second Coming, Great Earthquake and the Aliens Arrive predictions over the past 20 centuries than there have been years.

Why should December 21, 2012, be any different?

There was a predicted Doomsday date back around March, 1957, that was supported by even more lines of historical evidence than December 21, 2012.

Hey goodog im 14 also. And seriously when i think of 2012 i get very depressed i tend to avoid the convo`s all together. I start to think of my friends family little sister who will only just be turning 8 when it comes if it does. I mean the girls i like my ex girlfriends who im still friends with my friends all of them i would do anything for and not being able to do anything scares me.

Also I keep reminding myself that the mayan calander is a circle and what happens when your each the end of a circle you restart. Just cause you reach the end of a calander that doesnt mean the world will end.

January 20th 2012 Sarah Palin will be inaugurated and the world will end the very next day. We wont even make it till december

2012 seems like it has more credibility than most doomsday predictions, but i still dont think it will happen

If the world doesn't end on 2012, I'd say that will be the last doomsday theory you'll hear until a couple of days before the ACTUAL doomsday, when the sun blows up or whatever is going to happen. Nukes. Who knows.

People in the old days we're very smart about different things. Probably, for them, knowing when the world ends, that was one the best things that they knew. Like what the internet or somputers are what to people today. It would be weird acknowledging the intelligence of the Mayans during the last days of the planet Earth.

It has about as much credibility as all the others, namely zero.

That I would find highly unlikely. When 2012 comes and goes with no doomsday, it will conveniently be postponed (the bridge was up) till another day a couple of years later. That would be my prediction and I would bet that the odds of that happening are a lot higher than any of the doomsday theories (except for the one caused by the solar expansion some 5 billion years from now)

Yeah, that's good and all, at least you've been compared with someone cool, but litanistically boring sounding, I was compared to someone awhile ago, outisde the internet. I was busy talking to a friend about video games evolution from Cold War based games, to nows more complex warfare based games, run by mostly kids. When some guy fed up with are conversation, said me and my friend shouldn't be in a book store, if we're going to talk video games.

We only go to the store to drink coffee, and read people, guess what their like, and this guy got angry for us talking something other then books. Plus the bookstore is crap, after reading the post on Comte de St. Germain, we decide to go to Barnes and Noble to see if they have it, we get there, ask, and all we get is blank faces. Back to the story.

The guy blames our generation, especially us, for being the reason why America is down the tuber pooper, and why we may be pushing towards another WWIII prophetic date. Blanatly overlooking, the fact the guy himself, with question from us, hasn't read more then 100 books, and they all deal with sports( a subject that won't save the world). While we listened, and drank our coffee glued to our current circumstance of being called *******ed, we didn't want to stop him, it was too funny. When he awaited are reply, we didn't answer right away, we waited too.

I mean come on, who would answer crazy guy screaming in public place, not me, will not unless there was a bet involved, up above 100 hudren bucks, then I'd join the debate. So to make him piss off, I say, "will you are diffently right, we are to blame, what with having PHD.'s in practically every life and world saving field possible, what with me and my friend here, only reading more then our share of books, mine in history, no not the crap you go read to pick up chicks pretending like you know what it says, YES WE ARE TO BLAME."

I can get several extremely pleasant, highly productive hours out of watching the grass grow or the River roll past it its stately majesty or simply raindrops plashing against the sidewalk and rebounding back up again like millions of miniature fountains.


I never fully realized until this moment that there are apparently people who can't.

You know people who actually take what I say, seriously, and write a vilacious post, to try and make me cry, should watch tv, or read a book, I suggest, some good old fashion comic books, not the one's with only ten pages, try some manga. Or go read Orson Scott Card's Alvin Maker series, good books.
